They aren't my valuations. I just logged into a secondary market facebook group, searched for the various bourbons at issue, and those are the numbers that I saw. But yalls' point is noted. She didn't sell them to me for retail by any means. But I still think it was way better than secondary and paying for shipping.
In Michigan, that would run right around $180 + tax at state minimum prices. McKenna - $60, ER - $32, BT - $27, LCBP - $60
I have this dickel 15 year single barrel that I don't really like that much. Been using it to make whiskey cokes and it hits. Nice smokey flavor to it.
I stopped doing the jigger and ice block in my pics. I just use some fridge ice now. But if yall keep this up I'm moving back to the oversized ice block.
Have any of y’all opened the 8 year wheated willet yet? Looking for some tasting notes, local liquor store has one for a decent price
It's the Hard Hat tour that is supposed to be the "good" one but idk, never been. One tour is all you need. The process is the same everywhere.
SITREP : rye is much better than bourbon, across the board at the bar i've found i would rather pay cheap prices for templeton / rittenhouse / redemption than to pay a 2x-5x premium on any bourbon. the ryes are all 6-7 per drink, the bourbons are typically 15-20 and range as high as 30 or 50. at the liquor store the best things i've bought have all been 10-15 year ryes, while ppl are waiting in line, stabbing each other in the neck on allocation day for shitty bourbon
Anniversary today, went with a slightly above average pour for a slightly above average wife.* *babe if you read this please don't divorce me
Doing some hunting this morning, and so far I have seen it all, with prices all over the board. Old charter oak, cypb, wfpsp, rr13, willet 8 year wheated, orvw, w12, ofbb, and etl was coming off the truck.
