Michelob ultra over coors light any day of the week
Made the cooks illustrated chicken and andouille gumbo tonight with the shortcut of baking the flour to brown it for the thickener. Super easy, but man does that smell like digested popcorn
I'm definitely going to have to show my wife this when I get home tonight
I just found this channel, and think it's prettty awesome. Anyone follow it? Something weirdly fascinating about eating ancient recipes.
I’ve watched a few. They’re interesting vids. Nothing that I’d ever want to make though.
Throwing a 20 oz wagyu ribeye on the BGE after the Bama/UT game.
Thinking about doing duck breast tomorrow night for dinner. Anyone have any tips, suggestions, or recipes worth note?
I cross hatch cut it and sear it in a cast iron fat side down till it gets crispy and renders then flip till done. Can be easy to overcook so use a meat thermometer if you have one. Make sure to rest it before cutting. I always like a sweet reduction to counteract the richness of the duck so I usually go with a cherry reduction. Cherries, a little balsamic vinegar, a dash of dijon, and a little honey if needed. Lightly boil till reduced to a syrup and drizzle over. Goes well with some sort of veggie mash/puree.
This is a sausage, peppadew, and onion pizza.
No pressure devine !
peppadews are fantastic pizza toppings
First time using them as pizza toppings. Skyrocket to top 3.
I usually do peppadews stuffed with goat cheese and basil as an app.
Should gone bone in, imo
I’m starting to get drunk but we will make the pizza happen
Livestream the drunk pizza making
My pizza wasn’t good i messed it up
How do you mess up a pizza?
Good question lol
I did not bring the dough up to temp based on the recipe, I didn’t top it with enough sauce and cheese, and I let the crust get a little darker than I wanted
when I miss the mark it’s always because I put too much cheese on it and it doesn’t have time to melt perfectly before the dough is ready. I am a glutton
This on the egg?
Yep. Trader Joe’s dough with some low moisture whole milk mozzarella, spicy Italian sausage, white onion, and peppadews. 600* on the egg for about 10 minutes.
Pro tip, start the pizza before your 10th coors light
Rainy Sunday, perfect time to get #soupszn started in the Hatfield household. Chicken noodle soup.... 9/10. Cheated a bit using a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store, but damn that makes it so easy.
Hell yeah. This looks amazing. Getting started on a pot of bison and elk chili right now.
#soupszn kicks of at Casa Tramp as well today. Going with sausage, potato, & green bean.
Chili for the slogan household today

Wife had her parents watch Levi last night so we could go out to dinner (mil having surgery today so we will not have that luxury again for awhile) so #soupszn was postponed a day.
This is all the ingredients except minced garlic, s&p to taste, and heavy cream & cider vinegar added at end. Ready for the hate on canned green beans but it is how I have always made it since my great grandma taught me. I feel there is redemption in the 9am Monday beer.
Here to hate on the canned green beans
i also grew up on canned green beans and still enjoy them
boy did you come to the right place then, I added a second can.
Canned green beans covered in salt are delicious
IPAs at 9AM Monday is very aggressive.
