ive got a ton of collards without any real plan for them - anybody like to do anything interesting with greens?
Simple is best imo. Render bacon, cook the greens in the fat, apple cider vinegar with some chili flake
I love this soup so so much - https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1017917-ham-and-bean-soup-with-collard-greens
Got some boneless short ribs on sale at the grocery. Any good recipes or ideas? Have always used bone in
Probably not what you are looking for but I really like chili made with them. Do a mix of ground meat and diced short rib
Yeah it's a fruit based filling soaked in booze. It sometimes has beef suet in them but I don't think hers do
That would be awesome to be a part of but can you imagine doing the dishes after all of that? No thanks.
Steak night is back up, courtesy of the grocery having standing rib roast on sale, so we cut off a ribeye and vacuum sealed the rest. Salted for 12 hours. Sweet potato purée with poblano, green peas with onion and parmigiana.
The bbq thread might be better than this thread, but I have an Oklahoma Joe’s offset smoker/gas grill and I like it a lot. (I’ve used the gas grill like 3x in two years, but the offset smoker works great.)
What's everyone's Xmas morning go-to/favorite? We've done sausage/egg casserole past few years and it's been...fine. Looking for some inspiration for this year.
we do that and also monkey bread. Basically cinnamon roll cooked in an angel food pan and blasted with mixed nuts and sugary white glaze.
pulled from the internet but like this except with nuts. the recipe for this one looks pretty good as well. This one uses a brown sugar cinnamon glaze. https://www.melskitchencafe.com/the-best-monkey-bread/
I couldnt remember a pizza dough recipie off the top of my head so I looked it up. This comment got me good
Usually make a giant loaf of brioche when I have time, freeze it and slice some thiqqqq french toast. Sausage. Maple syrup everywhere.
Man, it would be tough. You can’t see it but the entire bottom is refried beans. Very filling and struggling to finish 1 plate.
