We had one in college that worked well. I think you have to replace it every few years but it gets the job done
Have a two-burner still going strong after 8 years of heavy use. A bit rickety at this point, but still fires right up every time. Not a high-end piece of equipment or anything but it has served me well.

Instant pot is the best for carnitas on the fly. Broke down a 10lb pork shoulder this afternoon and got it seasoned and marinating shortly after. Now enjoying this deliciousness. Simply carnitas over a bed of quinoa, greens, black beans, chipotle adobo sauce, s&p, cumin. Sauce is made from roasting/charring poblanos, jalapeño, onion, garlic and then blending together with lime juice, avocado, cumin, s&p.

I don't I'm afraid. I bought the galbi marinade at a Korean grocery store so after I let that do its magic for a few hours I grilled the short ribs and topped it with green onions and sesame seeds. But when I was doing it I looked up recipes and it seems like galbi marinade is really easy to make yourself.
I made carnitas. 8 hours in the slow cooker and then about 5 minutes under the broiler to get some crisp.

Its very pure early 2000s and its a shame this idea couldn't be executed by Netflix or someone now without all the contrivance.
