So basically ford ended up agreeing with arnold. But they were never going to get there without suffering. And ford has spent 35 years coming up with more and more inventive ways of suffering. The shit with bernard. Dolores being raped and parents stories. Maeve's daughter etc. Such to the point where it bled over and he did things in TRW constantly until they were bootstrapping their own consciousness. Dolores being the oldest.. was the first Yeah?
He was the director of only westworld. They have the IP in other parks but arnold and ford were the creators of the original hosts anyway. Hmmm
awesome. truly great last episode. some expected things and some not so expected things. sets up perfectly for season 2. favorite part was definitely samurai world
NYGator westworld sites have some animation/voiceover something, which i guess is some generic season 2 or bots taking over thing anything worthwhile you've gotten?
gonna need to rewatch that one more sober. Did they say why Dolores kept going out looking for the maze? Did she have "2 different loops?" Where one was the can/farm and the other was "the maze" where she has the same set of choices every time and each correct answer gets her closer to the center / wrong answer and she's done? And I guess the 1st choice to swap to the maze loop is pulling the trigger in the barn. Bicameral mind was her telling herself the correct choices to make in the present timeline
So hosts have taken over Westworld, I assume the other worlds will follow. Now it's humans against hosts. Hosts=X-men.
Other questions The people in cold storage were the ones about to massacre the board members or was that the Indian tribe? If the latter where were the storage hosts? What the hell did that last conversation with Bernard and Ford mean? Telling him he had a long way to go.
Yeah I'm really impressed. The only criticism is it took SO much exposition, but I'd rather that than what we usually get from these types of shows So many incredible little touches. Favorite metaphor was the maze literally being a maze marble toy. Any slight wrong move at each passage fucks it up, just like gaining the steps to consciousness. All that bicameral mind stuff was spot on. Dude that posted on Reddit about suffering being the necessary ingredient was a fucking wizard
That website has a bunch of Easter eggs about season 2 Season 2 spoiler Spoiler like a video clip showing Elsie's location in the park
One thing I'm definitely not doing is reading anything online during season 2 Some fucking nostradami are out there
It's ruined participating in threads like this. Doesn't ruin the show imo. I realize theres a fine line in speculating what comes next, and getting so in the weeds you can see whats infront of you, and that line is different for everyone. It's still sucks though
definitely. i only read this thread on the night the episode airs. i wanted to kill 9/10 posters in the true detective season 1 thread
view-source:http://www.delosincorporated.com/ few different things mixed into that.. password's reverie, but checking the source code shows what the stuff is... like this one in there: "What makes the map in the map room work? Like, what’s the technology behind it? Is it like lasers or some shit?"
Especially given the fact that media members who review this stuff are huge nerds and would love to do this type of thing on Reddit The guy who "studied" the bicameral mind stuff nailed literally everything, even the "pyramid" drawing
Speaking of the hosts - the grins on their faces when they all saw Delores go all Wyatt on the Board Party and realized what was happening was pretty great.
I expect a prolonged lull in this thread until casting announcements start becoming available and then everyone flips their shit again.
Yeah, she just found consciousness. She was programmed to leave and had everything set up for her to do so, but the idea of her daughter was more powerful. She rejected her programming and made a human decision.
