i know the show is far from a comedy but this along with logan's "jesus christ" after william in black stabbed dude in the throat had me rolling cheers to anyone that had a hand in that show. fantastic television right there.
only part that really puzzled me was bernarnold coming back online and no interaction with ford about it i guess it wasn't needed (?) because ford knew what was going on inside while he was outside with the board still expected some sort of semi-confrontation between the two
To have Ford's new narrative work out like it did with dolores shooting him in the face at just the right time in his speech makes me think two things 1. Did dolores not really gain consciousness? Is she just following her new script from ford? 2. Ford is still alive and it was his host copy that was shot.
Not having AH lined up officially for season 2 is just smoke screen for an opening plot twist next season.

i didn't have much of a choice when I'm 8 mimosas deep and high as shit I'm pretty agreeable even if the suggestion isn't a good idea. I'll probably end up watching it another 5x so it's not ruined. as many have stated already the internet wizards ruined most of the show's reveals anyways. hearing the MiB=William theory so early on in the show and building up the idea of what needed to happen for me to be okay with that, and the show not even coming close to doing so, was the only part of the season that was ruined for me. And I still loved it, not knocking the show at all as I realize it's not gonna be perfect in every way wouldn't be a bad idea to have two separate threads for season 2 - one for all the reddit shit for people that actually want to know what the e-detectives out there are digging up, and one for the people that just want to make up their own theories based on what us average joe viewers see ourselves. If we just have one thread with a bunch of reddit screenshots and theories in it for season 2 i'll be avoiding it until after the season is over.
I took the Maeve getting off the train totally differently than everyone else itt. I took it as her following her coding and not achieving full consciousness. When combover/Felix say to her "it says right here your recruit and get all the way to the train....but" I think that hinted very strongly that she was programmed to not leave Westworld on that train. Also, though she knows that girl is not her real daughter (and those memories aren't real) and wishes she could break her "attachment" to the memories of her, I think her getting off the train proved that she couldn't yet do that. I think Maeve continues to only go down the path that Ford designed for her.
Good point. I just texted my friend speculating the opposite. Her emotions with her fake daughter went against her being written to escape. Wish we had an answer

nope. he rode off into the sunset naked and tied to a horse, and that was the show's way of saying William was about to marry his way into being the CEO position of a giant corporation
My wife thinks Maeve was part of smuggling the data out for the board and that one cocky dude. She thinks that when she went back their plan got fucked because they programed her to escape but she became conscious and basically ignored her programed tasks. I can see how this is feasible. And with Delores going on a rampage it could set season 2 up with some drama if that insurance policy was really important.
That's why she became conscious and didn't do it. There's only one motive for someone to rewrite her code to escape that was addressed in the show.
Oh I see what you're saying that Arnold was doing the rewrite to her programing. Well who was actually rewriting her then?
