ok here’s my take (see my edit above) Bernard is running simulations and is leaving himself clues to get further each time. It was revealed this is actually happening from the “sublime” which is the server farm inside the dam that Dolores built seasons ago for the hosts to reside. He’s dangling this in front of Maeve but it’s unlikely she gets there as Bernard knows he dies. Jesse is a fidelity-programmed “host” just like the Man in Black, on his nearly 300th iteration so host Charlotte might be able to get information from him on how he initially resisted her flies. Christina/Dolores is likely also in a loop like this. Teddy confirmed as much (said she wasn’t real) and she wasn’t attacked at the end. Charlotte could be using her to get into the sublime.
Transcending is a host changing physical form I think, taking your brain ball or whatever and getting a new, different (they’ve shown it once) body. Believe that’s why that one host went bonkers ahead of it, you may not have your physical self afterward to go on a killing spree or whatever else ya fancy.
I was hoping this would be the final finale. I am not sure I can do another season. I was trying to stick it out and see it til the end but hopeful this would be the last one.
Yes plus they wrapped so many characters up (man in black, hale, clementine, Caleb, Bernard, and Maeve) I was wondering how the fuck isn’t this a series finale? Only just to reboot them all basically back in the original park next season?
So if there is another season it would be set in the sublime version of the WW park? Seems pointless that Dolores mentioned there was one final test shortly after saying sentient life was going to be completely wiped out in a couple years. Wish they would've made this the series finale. It's probably 50/50 that it gets renewed at this point.
Yep, they can call it a day. I don’t think a 5th season they have set up for would redeem this show. Season 1 was so good then everything fell flat.
The bummer about this season is that it looked like it was rebounding early on. Then it ended up sucking just as bad
So the new WW is in the sublime? Humans aren't in there right? So the outside world has crumbled apart and all the robots escaped into the sublime? What's the final test? She controls everything, what would test her? Lots of ?'s
If anyone ever finds a good writeup explaining season 4, I'd love to read it. May be the best concept and backstory for a show with a major budget that just couldn't get it's act together.
