Just crushed High Hat Cafe for the first time after a day of boozing. Wow. Duck-andouille gumbo, BBQ shrimp, oyster remoulade poboy with pimento cheese grits. Son.
I love this goddamn city so much but I cannot do it for more than 3-4 weeks at a time. I would not survive. I don't have the self control.
Just booked an Airbnb for next month. It will be a late bday/never got to have a bachelor party/dudes weekend trip. My wife was planning it all behind my back with my friends but eventually had to tell me to figure out all the plans. Should be a good time.
Didn't snag a picture, but ate at Parkway Bakery and Tavern over the weekend. The roast beef and gravy was the best poboy I had this entire trip.
Anyone have a good recommendation for a Cajun/seafood restaurant? Ya ya there’s a million I know. I’ve been to a lot. Just trying to find something that might be new? Or getting good reviews/praise these days? Trying to get a reservation ahead of time for the dude being dudes. Nug
peche. Everything on the menu is fire and there are a bunch of small plate options for sharing/trying. Drinks are great. The vibe is good too
how many people will be with you? Resy has an option to notify you if something opens up between now and then and I could nearly guarantee it will. Also picking a later time isn’t a bad option either as there are plenty of good bar options a few blocks away on Tchoupitoulas where y’all could pre game then walk over to eat
5-6 fellas. Ya I think I’ll make a late reservation just in case. Pre gaming sounds like the plan. Thanks.
Toups could be a good "dudes being dudes" spot. Also a fan of Atchafalaya, but that's a little different vibe.
