    I think the part I don't like is that there is nothing "icy" about white & red. When I think of icy, I think white/blue/grey...red doesn't work here.

    Depends on the team, imo. Texas, Tennessee, Miami, North Carolina and a host of others I'm surely forgetting pull off the white/white look well. Wisconsin, Auburn, Stanford and others look terrible in white/white.
