Reese will draft a DB - "he was best available". Have you looked back at some of the missed opportunities. David Johnson is one that's comes to mind. I know hindsight is 20/20. But how can one guy miss so many times

This would be a huge loss. Baker Mayfield is amazing but I have no idea how to evaluate quarterbacks.

 

They front loaded all those signings last year, need to clean house

Who do the Giants take at #2..... a QB, Barkley, or someone else?

 

If the Browns take Rosen they should just take Barkley and hope Mayfield falls to the 2nd round. Or just trade up to 1.

 

Bettcher has coordinated an elite defense according to advanced analytics website Football Outsider over the past three seasons, finishing with the No. 3, No. 3, and No. 4 overall defense, according to FO's DVOA metric, respectively from 2015-2017.

The success of Bettcher's units is only an added bonus to what the Giants would be getting if they hired him as their defensive coordinator. The Giants would be getting one of the brightest young defensive minds in the NFL who could have an impact on the Giants defense similar to the one McVay had on the Rams offense in 2017.

A) I love Barkley but RB in this draft is ridiculously deep and we have bigger problems

B) Bettcher runs a 3-4 so we will get actual real LBs now

Trade down. I’d be happy with Barkley at 2.

I just don’t think the QBs are worth the 2nd pick. I like Darnold the best, then Allen.

 

I’m not big on any of the QB’s, so I’m firmly on team trade down.

 

Trade down for Allen and Q Nelson.

 

How do you get both Allen and Nelson? Even if we get the Bills two first rounders, neither of those guys is available that late. I think it’s an either or situation. They could trade the second pick to Cleveland, letting them get Saquon and a QB, and get their 4th pick and a bunch of other picks in return.

 

Darnold at 2 or trade down for Nelson.

Picking RB at 2 would be so impressively stupid.

 

The Maras would never draft Baker though

If Eli was 27 its an A+ draft. 2 immediate impact starters, a high upside pass rush OLB, and 2 solid DTs for depth that was sorely needed.

But in 1-2 years we are staring at a Davis Webb vs Kyle Lauletta QB battle.

 

After grinding in the film room for 5 minutes I can confidently say Lauletta is our next quarterback.
