Sorry to tease again but I am on my phone. Will post screeshots shortly... On Xmas eve close to midnight someone in our neighborhood set off fireworks. A bunch of people got pissed as people's kids were waking late the night before Xmas day. At least 5 threads were created. On one of them the fireworks guy appeared and he laid into everyone for not being diverse and respecting his Hispanic traditions. Things are just getting warmed up.
never put all the pieces together (lechnerd living north of SA) but I just noticed I office about 5 minutes away from River Rock Ranch...
I thought about posting that in here but I am too lazy. Have you seen these dogs personally. Are their complaints legit or are they being dramatic.
Missing Pets Nancy Stone from Frederick Creek, Boerne · 23h ago We are about to pull out of this site! Haven't tracked the actual stats, but this site has turned into a missing pet locator. it's very distressing to see that pet owners don't do their job of keeping tract of their pets and keeping them out of harms way...hope more care goes into keeping track of their children and out of harms way. We're pet owners and don't understand what is going on. If this message stirs the bucket, then so be it! someone new took over the quarterly newsletter and posted the wrong date for recycling pickup (a day later than actual - which was not unreasonable as pickup is often delayed a day for Xmas & NYD) she was crushed on nextdoor by a couple who clearly were sitting next to one another and writing out comments. pretty awful for someone to take time to volunteer, make a small mistake, and people act like she forgot to pay their homeowners insurance the day after their house burned down. I will eventually copy/edit/paste this, but a joint fracture on my right ring finger means it took me long enough to type this w/ one hand. too much right clicking & mouse work.
Someone posted this on our next door...from the local paper I believe. A young female driver taking her drivers license test was involved in a crash that left a trail of destruction at the Costa Mesa Department of Motor Vehicles office on 19th Street around 4:30 pm Tuesday afternoon. The crash sent a pickup truck careening into the busy DMV parking lot where it landed on top of a car and sent bystanders running in fear of their lives. Costa Mesa Police are investigating the cause of the crash that left 2 people injured and damaged several cars. A traffic light control box was also destroyed exposing live electrical wires, causing the traffic signals to go dark. According to the Costa Mesa Fire Department, the pickup truck caught fire as a result of the crash, but it was quickly extinguished. The female driver and the DMV Examiner administering her test were transported to HOAG Hospital in Newport Beach with minor injuries. It’s unknown if she passed the test. Last sentence absolute killed me. Comments were not happy with this being posted We can't assume the female driver taking her test was at fault. There are way too many "licensed" drivers around here that think the rules of the road just don't apply to them. My daughter has her permit and is in the midst of drivers training right now. She is constantly being honked at and tailgated in the neighborhood because she is following the appropriate speed limits and making complete stops at stop signs. What's up with that?!? Here are some pics
in my hood there's just one thread going that has hundreds of messages. About how the main retail street is changing and locally owned restaurants and stores are getting priced out and replaced by chains. people are flipping the fuck out it's the most brooklyn thing to ever brooklyn
My psychiatrist and therapist both recommended that I try mindfulness techniques, as an individual and in group. I was hesitant, and said that I needed to do research on it from a Christian standpoint. I found article after article, by Christians, stating don't do it. It was likened to doing yoga, where on empties his mind. Mindfulness was presented to me as being aware of what I was feeling and aware of what my body was "doing" at that exact place and time. I did it once in a therapist's office years ago not knowing what it was or what I was doing, until several years later. After research, I told my psychiatrist and therapist, "No, I won't do it. I don't feel it was right for a Christian to do. I'm not supposed to be focused on my body and feelings; I am supposed to be focused on God and the things of heaven." They persisted in trying to get me to do it, even though both are Christians. I am shocked at the prevalence of these types of meditations being used on others, possibly without their knowledge or consent. I heard that it is taught to schoolchildren to calm them down. Thanks for the article.
Followed by No apology needed for me. I was just stating what my experience and research yielded, and what and why I made the decision that I did not to do it. Have a great day!
Want to know what my thoughts are Michael? I'll tell you. I have no interest in becoming your skin suit, even under the guise of a dinner party.

There's a 25+ comment thread going on about people wanting a neighbor to post pictures of the person who's dog shit in their yard.
