No, but she put up a god awful looking piece of plywood to block the light once she got the code violation order. The problem is that she has replaced all of her 'year round' xmas light bulbs with clear bulbs just to spite me, causing the light pollution issue again. I reported her again and this time the code inspector came to my house and actually looked at the issue. Best part is that he said he noticed like 3 other code violations as well. It's gonna be very satisfying when they are removing half of their awning and I come out and say "oh... is it coming down? I thought it wasnt coming down..." The board she put up, notice how her awning overhang is like 1 foot from my fence...
My house is on a pond with several other homes. There was a 5 foot or so gator in the pond. A lot of kids walk through it and fish so my wife posted on nextdoor that there was a gator in the pond and be careful with your small dogs and let your kids know. Some guy flipped out ranting about gators being in every fresh water area in Florida and bitched that my wife was wasting his time because he had to read it. We also get 100+ post threads debating whether someone should warn people that cops have set up a speed trap outside the neighborhood and whether it should be allowed to be labeled "urgent" on the app. It's very entertaining.

Update on my neighbor who filed suit against other neighbors and the HOA because he got banned from the neighborhood facebook page ... They settled out of court under the terms that he was made the moderator of said facebook page. Everyone left that facebook page and joined a new one.
No idea on the rationale (fewer drunks to hit kids?) but some places do trick or treating on a night other than Halloween.
Ours is always halloween night unless it falls on a sunday. Then half the town loses their minds and tries to make everyone do it on saturday. Really in those years we only end up with about half the number of kids as usual because no one really knows what to do.

Ours is always the Sunday afternoon of Halloween week from 3-6, unless it falls on a Saturday in which case it's on that day from 4-7. I know a lot of neighborhoods around here are similar. I miss when I was a kid and it was Halloween night from like 5-9.
Best house in our neighborhood when growing up would do pints of milk and put out fresh baked cookies, brownies, etc every 15-30 min. We would go by that house 10-15 times.
