We need a branch for a new thread. Woman in my nextdoor posts that her 30 year old son who is home from the army has a tooth ache and needs a dentist. 23 replies arguing over who’s dentist is best. I commented that I was shocked no one commented on how ridiculous it is a 30 year old in the army needs his mom to find him a dentist and how proud I was no one made comments about it. #highroad.

Yea the one we used was one for the hospital so we knew she was legit. I’d imagine there are some out there that try to sell you essential oils at the same time.
The lady we had was some old Mrs. Doubtfire looking lady that came really highly recommended. What a fucking lifesaver. My wife really struggled with breastfeeding, I think primarily because she had shame about needing a cesarean. We found out my daughter was tongue tied and lip tied and after a quick procedure we were good to go.
Even the hospital ones. We fortunately haven’t had any issues with feeding our kid but my wife said the consultant threw a guilt trip on her because we sometimes bottle feed. “The baby will get so confused” yadda yadda. It’s possible my wife was being defensive, but if the kid is eating fine and bottle feeding lets mom sleep a bit more then it’s probably fine. This was like four days post partum at a breastfeeding buddies group thing ran at the hospital. Also, one of the consultants was barred from seeing patients because of an ongoing (3 months so far) review. Apparently she said something wrong to a new mother who also happened to be a pediatric physician at the hospital. Oops. Depends on the person.
