Kind of. Many Latino fans embrace it (I won’t say most because how would I possibly know that), but the original use of it definitely seemed a bit mocking.
like with everything I think it depends on the person and how someone uses it. Most people I know don’t use it in a malicious way so I don’t think I’ve ever seen a person have a problem with it.
Not going to argue if it’s racist or not but I have several Latino friends/former cooks, both born here and Central America, who call them doyers basically exclusively (Kinda like how people used bro ironically until eventually it just became part of their standard lexicon). And most all of them are perfectly capable of saying “Dodgers”. I call them doyers all the time, but I’m a cracker.

Mainly bc my dad’s side of the family is trailer trash from Kingstree, SC so I got to see a lot of it growing up
That was an interesting exchange about trailer trash. I'm from the south and down here that term is used by whites to denigrate other whites. I never considered that it could be offensive to Latinos.
