So weird Andy lost 3 straight NFC champ games with Donovan throwing to James Thrash and Todd Pinkston
I like him in that I think he’s perfect for Philly. Except that Italian flag on his eagles visor like a fucking goombah
And at least the below average Pats’ WR groups always had one or two clutch competitors. Edelman, Welker, Branch, Troy Brown, etc. Go-to guys in big moments.
https://dknetwork.draftkings.com/nf...sion-order-2022-nfc-afc-west-east-north-south last year we had 8-2, 7-3, 7-3, 7-3 after week 11
okay? I’m just saying thats quite a statement when most of us lived through the primes of QBs like Manning, Brady, or even Brees for that matter. But you do you man
Rice is great but we refuse to use him. We’ve generally whiffed on WRs otherwise. and tbf Skyy looked decent his rookie year too so we’ll see if Rice has promise or not. Ultimately it comes down to Veach not getting guys and Andy not using the guys he has
Nah, we can (theoretically) scheme up offense, we can’t scheme up that dude’s ability to wreck drives.
If I'm blaming Mahomes for anything, I think the way they play offense with Kelce has made it harder for them to develop WRs because so often when he drops back he has to wait to see what route Kelce's going to run, which means his WRs have to win later in routes as opposed to getting schemed open.
I get that argument, but man it's tough handcuffing the best QB in the league. That offense is unbelievable with Tyreek, just figure it out on defense imo. It's an offensive league so I'd go Tyreek.
Chiefs paying the price for going cheap at a position like WR, which is a premium position in this day and age. No crying for them after a SB win but it was weird they thought this crew could get it done. And yet I still think they are the favorites with that defense and Pat, just zero margin and not the same kind of team that can fuck around and score 30 in a hurry
We have two very much capable-to-good pass-catching RBs and we don’t throw them the ball. It’s all bizarre.
I don't think the strategy of spending the resources they have at WR is as big of an issue as spending them on the wrong people. MVS was always a weird signing and Moore looks like a bad 2nd round pick.
We all knew KC, Buffalo and Cincy were the class of the AFC though. I don’t think any one trusts either one of the current division leaders half as much as we did those 3 last year.
The Chiefs have invested in the draft in WRs but they’ve just sucked at it. Instead of the busts CEH, Hardman, Moore they could of added Higgens, Metcalf, and Doubs. Awful production from a 1st and 2 2nds.
Might seem more reasonable if they weren’t 7-3 with one of their losses coming when Kelce and Chris Jones both didn’t play. And if they weren’t the front runner for the SB in the AFC. Seems like with Mahomes the value of an elite-tier WR isn’t as important (granted it would help if they had better than average WRs). And Jones is essentially the Mahomes of their defense.
KC hasn't allowed more than 24 points in a game this season, and he's their best player on it. I get that their offense looks like a mess right now, but come playoff time I'll take my chances with Mahomes and anyone at WR if all I need is 21 points every week instead of needing to win shootouts.
It does seem like the Chiefs will make the same choice with Jones that they did with Hill, both are unquestionably worth a top of the market contract and the Chiefs don’t do that, will be interesting to watch
I get that view, I guess I just trust Mahomes with weapons more than a good defense with a handcuffed Mahomes. I think adding Hill adds more points to the offense than losing Jones costs the defense. Just personal opinion so not going to argue it.
