Does anyone on the field know where the “landing zone “ was on that kick? Doesn’t seem like it. Not even the tv ref
The special teams coordinator didn't even know there was an onside kick zone violation rule. He threw his headset in anger
I accidentally posted about it in the MLB thread. They just make the kick up rules on the fly now right?
Perhaps. I was fine with the no call but it’s irritating to watch a weak call get made the other direction to end a drive right after
I don’t give a shit about either team but, and maybe this is just me but I don’t think it is, it seems like officials are regularly making it a lot more about themselves at every level in most of the games I’ve watched this year and it’s ruined the flow of the game more than it’s helped
every team is running cheat motions and lining up in the backfield and running pick plays as much as they get away with. the only way to stop any of it is to call it
given how boring and low scoring games are rn (generally, not this one) think we should actually legalize pick plays
