That's still an impressive ROI but damn I've flipped one of my most valuable NFTs to a bunch of shit that's now in my hidden folder. It happens.
Sanjuro or anybody else that knows, is the Jalen Suggs challenge moment the last minted moment from Throwdowns or are there more coming?
#16 serial on the challenge reward rare Embiid. 5 higher would've been amazing, but I'll certainly take it
It was the first anime project to take off and that community has really latched on. They’ve just really nailed every step along the way and have had an impressive run.
They are looking really clean and I think the dog clones end up looking better. Are you going to grab a Gutter Juice and join the gang? It is Caturday!
Penguin The Duck I think I asked this not too long ago but are you in on the PV Metaheroes universe? Planet daos or any of that? Just wondering what your take is on it long term.
I don’t have a lot of planets atm but I’m very bullish on Pixel Vault. I just received my physical Punks Comic last week, have a founders DAO token, and staking two metaheroes. Also have the entire bored ape comic set. They are one of my favorite projects. You claimed your mint passes right? I think the planet dao tokens will also get metaverse land in the future. And I’d put Pixel Vault outside of Bored Apes, and just above Gutter Labs for some of the best long term projects. $POW and $PUNKS tokens are super cheap buys rn if the game and project works out.
Yep I claimed what it let me. I've got 2 planets, one was the free Jupiter, so it only let me get 1 mint pass. Also got the free ape entry coin a while back
They will find a way to make those planets and free claims they continue to give out seem super cheap. This is wild to me. The physical edition sold for $2K and you don't have to sell the NFT along with it. I can sell the comic and keep staking the NFT for $PUNKS tokens, and then swap $PUNKS and sell the NFT for a few ETH whenever I'm ready.
Looking at the challenges, found a Cole Anthony /162 Rare for $750 that was $100+ cheaper than the 2nd cheapest. Maybe because of his injury concerns? Either way, grabbed it and hoping I can flip
Just wait till a Huxley issue 1 hits Ebay. Out of 10K, only 1250ish claimed physicals. I divested out of PV only bc I got in late. Bought a Jupiter before they gave them away for free... I think after its all said and done, I lost about .1 ETH after selling my MP2s. I figure I missed the boat on PV. The only PV product I'd go for now is PVFD. Great company, just years away from anything substantial outside of Web3 staking.
Yes, probably so. The other leader of the Teams CS is in Ukraine unfortunately so don’t think he will be able to.
Figure this fits here more than the sports card thread, but really it's both. Physical cards have gone nuts to the point that even Fortnite, comic and random non big 4 sports cards are selling for big bucks. my buddy bought this today. Came with physical cards + NFT of one. Both the physical card and NFT selling for significantly over the price of the box.
All of the major sports and trading card manufacturers, resalers, and grading companies are going the NFT route. This is going to start happening more and more. PSA, Panini, Beckett, Fanatics/Candy, StockX, and I'm sure there's more I'm missing. I wonder if any of these collaborate with or acquire an existing NFT project
The more down the rabbit hole I go, the more convinced I am it's the future for all non-vintage collectibles. I get the same exact feeling opening Topshot packs as I do regular packs, and my house is overflowing with crap $2-5 cards, whereas I could 10x my Topshot account and it still takes up 0 space and is instantly organized, instantly valued, and can be sold instantly with no scams possible other than wallet hacking. It's superior in virtually every way other than the fact that currently, not everybody "gets it" so it's not as easy to brag on your Lamelo Holo vs say a physical Mike Trout graded RC, but even that will go away as more people catch on
I believe this is the path. And with top shot you can get commentary from the player in the moment directly. There are more features available than cardboard (jersey / autographs aside)
100%. Airdrops, challenges etc, all possible because it's easy for the producer to see who owns what. That would be a giant pain in the ass for physical cards.
AllDay replay drop today. Experience and value still suck. Glitches when you try to open pack so you never see it, then they just appear in your account. Have to watch via replay. Got maybe $18 worth of moments for $49, and that's with one being Stafford in his Super Bowl year. I quickly remembered why I skipped the last few drops
Maybe I should be happy I have not been able to get the option. Have not been anywhere close in my random starting place the last few drops. Ironically the original drop of this pack was the first time my place in line was not reached. So I am two for two not being able to buy this pack.
