More ways to buy/sell/trade NFTs is only going to continue to grow the market. The Coinbase marketplace should significantly grow NFT sales just by reducing barriers to entry.
I have a Coinbase account and signed up for the pre NFT sign up or I thought so and it never went through and now I’m like 900k
A lot of this feels like the shit/alt coin days of the Bitcoin boom in 2017-2018 or whatever. Edit: Saying this as someone who has a decent investment in NBA TS and lost some money on the shit/alt coin craze. Be careful out there.
I wish the archives set was on the marketplace so I could gauge the value. Part of me doesn't want to get a RiB pack, but at same time I feel like I shouldn't pass this up* *If I get a spot in the queue.
I agree to an extent. That was pure speculation with zero utility other than hoping coin goes up for profit. I’ve pulled back and have really tried to focus on only putting money into projects I find interesting and plan to hold long term. Sure some will fail but the only play isn’t hoping the price just keeps going up since a lot of these have communities, games, and other things that provide me value.
Agree, it's not a 1:1 comparison for sure. However, some of the alt coins speculated on additional utility too (not all) and drove interest, which obv really didn't pan out.
Because I've seen some of these packs that have been opened and If I get the chance, I'm buying. I just wish there was a better idea of how the archives set is going to price out.

I avoided the alt coin days of 2017 because I was still salty about unloading my BTC in 2012. All I remember was my most annoying coworkers day trading and never shutting up. NFTs definitely have a pump and dump thing going on but the big name companies getting involved already and the communities being built just feels way different than pumping and dumping coins.
