pretty much this. He was terrified to put dates or time frames on anything. The only thing we really know is that training camp will be 3 weeks. Other than that, no details were provided. We don't even know how many games at each hub site they plan to play each day.
Assuming everything goes off as planned, and no hiccups with covid / a 2nd wave - it's going to be a pretty intense fall if NHL / NBA playoffs overlap football season. I know that is not a safe assumption, we really have no idea what's going to happen, but the sports fan in me is hopeful.
We are looking at a situation where there will be NHL, NBA, NFL, NCAAF, and MLB played on a single weekend for pretty much the entire fall. If Quarantine without sports didn't cause me to get a divorce, telling the wife that I don't want to be bothered for 48 hours straight might do it.
Don't care about baseball but having meaningful NHL and NBA games going heads up with NFL will be interesting to see ratings-wise.
I would assume the NHL at minimum will steer well clear of the NFL unless they absolutely have no choice.

Pretty crazy story about Nick Robertson who just won CHL sportsman of the year with 55 goals in 46 games in the OHL. (And I guess the Leafs invited him to camp for the playoffs. Don’t know if it’s a “get him ready for next year” thing, or if he’s going to get an actual shot) I didn’t really know much about him until watching him for the US in the world juniors, but he made the cutoff for the 2019 draft by 5 days and was born 3 MONTHS premature. Even though he’s in the draft class before theirs, he was conceived months later than guys like Lafreniere and Rossi.
