Rangers’ goalie situation is wild, realistically should trade Georgiev while his value is highest but apparently management views him as a 1A?
if you get top dollars on shestorkin but I would not trade that dude away...unless it’s a lopsided trade. Georgiev is pretty good too.
Shestorkin is a little like murray(but way way more talented) he never played a lot of games in a season. That would scare me a little if I am the Rangers
I can’t see Georgiev staying. I don’t know what they can get for him though, the goalie market is weird. SJ would seem like a good trading partner
to be honest it’s impossible to predict. Goalie is a weird market and weird dudes. It’s not like predicting a number one d or a third line center
Wouldn’t shock me if Georgiev is simply a Benoit Allaire project that falls off a bit the further he gets away from him, like many Rangers backups have done in the past. Igor is the real deal though. 34% chance the Rangers make the playoffs right now.
8 millions per year for a top 2 is pretty good, would you prefer karlsson at 11.5? In a few years trouba’s contract will look pretty good.
That remains to be seen. I’m not giving up on him, but he hasn’t been living up to his contract. The Rangers are also one of the worst defensive teams in the league. For the record, I was happy with the trade and his signing. He was very good in Winnipeg.
Not great, Bob! Defense is dogshit, too. Thankfully Marino and Dumoulin are making the trip, which also means Letang and Johnson won’t be paired up anymore
Days like this remind me that the playoffs are just around the corner. also it will be interesting to see who mtl plays in the first round
We are about to be in a situation where the Leafs emergency goalie is about to go into the game and play for the leafs opponent in a game the Leafs have to win. Got to love it.
Mrazek put himself in danger there. Clifford could have a bit more awareness but he’s chasing down a loose puck in an area goalies hardly ever go to. I don’t blame him.
