Adam fox for a second looks like thievery at this point. Highest corsi rel on the rangers at almost 8. If he were qb-ing their power play this year he’d be in the Calder conversation with Makar and Hughes.
It was a steal from day 1. Not much else Carolina could do when fox says that he will only play for one team
I said it a year or two ago, but the Rangers have an added benefit from a rebuild perspective by attracting young prospects they hadn’t drafted and they’ve generally struck gold with those players. Zuccarello was one, Vesey fizzled but they got a return for him; and now Fox is booming. It’s a bit unfair, but they’ve taken advantage of being a big market team very effectively. Perhaps more so than they have through the draft itself. It has at the very least hidden some of the major draft gaffes they’ve made over the years.
Could have been lip service, but he came out and said that he would be willing to play for plenty of teams, but he would rather keep playing in college than start in the AHL. Carolina was just too deep with defensemen.

carolina lost to I don’t remember who the other night and they shot like 45 pucks on net and the other team had under 20...lost 5-2 I think. They had the ahl goalie in net. He sucks
Whenever I see junior highlights the lights always go off when a goal is scored and they try to shine a spotlight on the goal scorer but are never close so everybody is just skating around in the dark
Really sucks that he gets these flukey injuries at bad times. He’s been dealing with it for some time, I’m assuming he and the medical staff thought some rest and rehab would fix whatever he has but it’s kept lingering. Hopefully he’s back sometime during round 1.
