Play should have been blown dead just like Savard should have been kicked off the ice while actively bleeding before the faceoff. Not a good look for the refs tonight/player safety (great job on the Atkinson breakaway tho). We mightve gotten rid of the stupid over the glass rule if the game ended on that power play.
True, the rule states the linesman/refs may stop the play, not must when a player gets hit in the face with a puck resulting in an apparent serious injury.

Yeah, the reason I posted that was because extremely mild mannered Jones was salty about the officiating after the game and with that I can see why.
Jones played 65 minutes. Hedman played 57 minutes despite no one thinking he was even going to play. Unreal from both of them.
That happened to Pietrangelo earlier in the year and he couldn’t get back to the bench. He had to use his stick as a oar and row back to the bench lol
