What I don’t understand is why you still can pass the puck with your hand in the defensive zone as a defensive player....or anywhere on the ice if you play for the sharks
Part of it is that I don’t like the Sharks but don’t mind the Blues, so if we lose - god forbid - I’d rather the Blues win it than SJ.
You haven’t paid attention, the blues are the best team in the nhl since Christmas and it’s not close. They step it up and dominate... 15-1 the shots in the second, they did the same in game seven against Dallas. They just have a hard time finishing. I think Boston also stepped it up at the end. The best final would be Boston/st-louis Boston would expose the San Jose d
An underrated terrible move was the Sens trading the Tarasenko pick to the Blues at the draft for David Rundblad. Saying that, of course some other teams should have drafted Tarasenko before then.
That was back when teams were scared shitless of Russians staying over in Russia. Blues had 2 1st round picks (Schwartz was the other, 2 picks ahead of Tarasenko ) and took a flyer on him, thankfully.
Yeah Kuznetsov went terribly late in the first round that draft. That Tarasenko - Kuznetsov - Panarin World Juniors line was amazing.
The bruins, preds and blues draft so good it’s unreal. The sens are pretty good at it too. Tampa too. Top 5 scouts imo. The bruins made a lot of shitty moves by trades over this last ten years. They still kept their core.
You don’t agree? Sj has the fire power to come back but it has been shaky. I see the blues as a better team overall. Maybe it’s just me
I think they have been the better team too but the only reason this is embarrassing is because of two terrible unforced giveaways and a tired defender tripping on a breakaway They had a ton of chances early. Good chances.
They dominated the first 4 minutes or so and could've easily scored 3 or 4. Kane hit the post less than 10 seconds in
Or the last game that the saint-louis blues lost on a blown called in double overtime that went sj’s way
I listened to the spitting chicklets interview of Scottie upshall this week, very funny and he talked about Schwartz ‘s ability to deflect pucks in front of the net, he is magic in front of the net. That was a pretty solid goal I love the insight from these guys even though they sound like 35 years old ado with a ton of money to play with
It depends how you use the guy. He was great in Ottawa with a good d focused on defense and responsible players like stone and turris He needs a plan around him
