Our best win of the year by far vs SJ then giving up 4+ vs worst offense in the league, typical Caps. Woe is me with winning a title last year.
Why did nobody tell the powers that be for Anaheim that the new ducks logo and the black, orange, and mustard yellow color scheme are ugly af.
I feel like the Ducks are just ~10 years behind some of the other teams that switched colours in the 90s/2000s before reverting back (e.g. Caps, Oilers, Sabres, Flyers). So we’re on track to get them back in a few years. Their alternate this year is a step in the right direction.
Keeps on getting better and probably do something dumb like buy instead of selling at the deadline. Fuck Getzlaf too!
historically, how have they dealt with rain for these outdoor games? it's looking likely for Saturday in Philly.
I believe they move the start time forward or back to try and avoid the rain. Assuming it's actual rain, hard to see how they can play during it. Will absolutely ruin the ice even more so then the snow does.
right now the game is scheduled for 8 so it would have to move forward. not sure how I feel about them cutting into tailgate time. I hope the weather can hold up.
they've done it multiple times in the past. If it's going to rain, you can pretty much guarantee they will move the game up by a few hours.
Also, obviously Q did a fantastic job for a long time, but how did he mismanage Chicago's power play so badly the early part of the season and the 2 before this one? Well below league average over that span with Kane/Toews and 1 of Debrincat/Panarin should be impossible.
while ultimately the responsibility falls to him, I think it's pretty rare for a head coach to run the power play. that's usually delegated to an assistant.
