Columbus is acting desperate Surprised Dzingel is already an UFA, seems like just a few years ago he was playing for Ohio State
Rangers gave away Zuccarello to Dallas for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. Fucking Jeff Gorton is completely worthless.
At least they’re going all in and not trying to ride the fence. I thought the talk of trading for a guy like Duchane only to move panarin was dumb.
Dallas has about as good a chance of winning two rounds as the Rangers. They also obviously have no intention of resigning him so the Rangers are getting a 2 and 3 for a very good player. Gorton getting fucked over is a trade deadline tradition.
When a scrub like Boyle gets a 2nd round pick a guy like Zuke is worth a 1st. Now Gorton can give away Hayes for a similar return and our inept scouting department can screw this franchise up even further.
Going all in on a division with the last 3 champions then the best regular season team in some time in the same conference. Should have bit the bullet, fans would have been pissed off about trading Panarin in the short term but makes the most sense long term.
He’s probably getting called up for tomorrow. Flu is going around the Blues locker room. 3 late scratches today.
They've got a pretty good young core and a lot of cap space so it's not like they mortgaged the future, but just seems like an odd spot to make these moves when they're not exactly a lock to make the playoffs(it'd be surprising to see them miss but point stands). IMO they have to make a deep run and sign Duchene for it to be worth the price. Another first round exit and/or Duchene walking along with Panarin and Bob would be a big failure.
Pens have to make the playoffs first and judging by the way they’ve played over the last couple weeks, it’s a serious concern
