    Even if that ended up being a good top 4 the age curve is hitting by the time they fix their forward depth. They're staggering their window.

    Also I do think Severson is a very good player and I think NJ knew that, but with 3 D signed long term and Hughes and Nemec coming up they were doing the right thing letting him go imo.

    Contract Signings - CapFriendly - NHL Salary Caps

    There have been 13 goalie signings with at least a 5m AAV in the last 3 years. I would say those GM's would probably want mulligans on all but 3, maybe 4 of them.

    Don't pay goalies.

    Go back and watch it. Ref in the zone let go the slash on stone so he was going to let go the trip on Staal.

    far ref only saw the trip and called it. Both were obvious penalties. Only one was called.
