Its literally impossible for him to live up to that deal. The fact that Drury is in effect choosing Goodrow over Buchnevich tells me all I need to know about this idiot.
Sounds like Drury learned well from Gorton and included some sort of no trade protection like any team other than Edmonton will ever have any interest in dealing for him.
the 1st was definitely Francis. A 2nd enough there. Teams learned from the vegas draft not to overpay but there were still a lot of draft picks left in the table last night by some weird need to win any trades as big as vegas did or make none at all.
hard cap in nhl has ruined the sport (i.e. my team) for me i will take no further questions at this time
the cap is more flexible but the trading rules are extremely strict which makes trading exponentially harder than in the NHL.
To be fair nedeljovic is not Patrick Roy, he has been pretty average before this year They might’ve given a 3 rd round pick for a ahl goalie. but that definitely feels like a steal for Detroit after this last year
The boys club and RFA rules/compensation are more damning than the cap. Offer sheets should occur so much more than they do.
but all the players said they knew nothing about it and they definitely wouldn’t lie when they have so much to lose
I think he will be a 4th liner next year. Joseph played in the SCF when killorn got hurt but word was that it would be gemel smith who would be the guy who for the nod in the islanders series when someone was questionable to play in the bottom 6. Lightning were happy with him so to lock him up for 2 years at league min with the cap situation is good.
My 1993 Honda Prelude died the night before FA began. I was closing on the lease of my truck at the dealer when we signed Nielsen. An absolutely gutting 24 hour period.
Maybe that’s why the Oilers keep doing Oilers things. Their fan base has been gaslit by this idiot for years and theres no pushback from the fans
They both request trades at the same time in the same summer in 2022 and 2023 and shit will be wild with teams trying to clear cap to make it work
Also - This blackhawks thing has very big PSU vibe to it. There’s a cover up, seems like everyone knew about it and the organization put him in a position to work w kids
leafs fans going to say that it shouldn’t be Matthews, marner or Tavares but nylander, a scrub and a prospect for Mcdavid is the fairest trade.
Ristolainen is basically the poster boy for the way olds used to view hockey players. He's big, he really looks the part on the ice most of the time, he has quite a few tools in his box... and he's just not any good.
Also the Oilers are just bound and determined to pay whatever necessary to never let Evan Bouchard have a real shot.
Big and skates fast. He could play every game with a giant dildo instead of a stick and people like Jim Matheson would over him
I think those happen the 28th. With no draft floor, a lot less is going to get done. Half the magic of draft day is GMs getting drunk at a bar and making deals
I'm trying to come up with what a McDavid trade would even look like. There's not really anything close to a comparable in recent memory. An offer sheet for over 10 million would be four first round picks. McDavid is making 12.5 but in reality he's worth more like 15. Four first round picks and 2-3 really good prospects? Could any team even provide that? Would you have to bring a 3rd team in?
There isn’t a deal anyone could make because of that contract. Once you absorb that cap hit and deal all your cost controlled assets, you’re risking being Edmonton.
