I called for 10 the other night. Completely dirty and dangerous, can’t remember if he has any history though.
He’s out there basically trying wild shit every night similar to Pettersson’s rookie year and it seems it works more often than not. Hopefully his coaches never beat the fun/creativity out of his game like it seems like Petey’s coaches have.
I’m guessing they gave him 6 so he could appeal to an independent arbitrator and get it reduced. 19 is a clean player but crossed the line here.
The Blues are so up against it, it's beyond ridiculous. They have so many out w COVID, and injuries but cant call up players because of no cap relief from COVID. Apparently you can only make emergency call ups after you play down a man for a game, which they did last night. So they can call up a guy. But since another player got hurt last night, they cant replace him until they play down a man again tomorrow. Also the #2 goalie got hurt as well. I have no idea if they have to dress the EBUG again before calling up an emergency goalie. Which has to be Jon Gilles who they signed off the street. Because the actual prospect, Joel Hofer makes too much to fit under the cap Such a clusterfuck
We’re literally down to 2 full lines (who started the season), 4Dmen, and Price in net. I feel you. I’m fine with throwing this year so it’s not so bad as a fan, but trying to contend would suck. Edit: Toffoli-Dvorak-Anderson Armia-Byron-Gallagher Edmundson-Weber Niku-Petry Price lol
I get that Covid can be a floating target but I have no sympathy for teams that are in a cap crunch. Shouldn’t have spent to the cap. Then you’d have the flexibility to make moves.
This is a dumb, “i have Senators Stockholm syndrome” take. Teams that are trying to win spend to the cap. That’s just how it is.
It’s the only thing I can think of. Which is ridiculous because anyone you’re calling up on a 2 way isn’t gonna make THAT much more.
Trouba with another questionable hit. I think last night’s was worse, but back to back nights ain’t a great look
And when you spend to the cap it doesn’t leave you any room to navigate problems. Too fucking bad for you then. Nobody put a gun to their head.
and mackinnon went in there like an idiot, it’s the crease, you don’t walk in like that thinking you are going to deke everybody. The other hit was unnecessary, that one is just a hit to protect your turf. If that is not allowed you might as well just take away the ability to make an open ice hit and keep it along the boards which might be the next step to make the game less dangerous. I don’t think you can blame trouba on that one. and landeskog should not have fought him, that’s stupid. Wait for a guy his size to go after trouba. Two concussions are not the answer here.
Everything written about Arizona's current ownership/front office makes them look like complete clowns.
Pretty incredible run with the injuries we have had. If some of these young guys continue to play well we could make a run at a 3rd cup.
IMO the league really wants to get into China. It’s a massive market obviously. I doubt a trash organization like the NHL cares about the human rights issue. I think that’s why they were apprehensive but willing to let the players go. This is all about COVID and hurting the season. It pains me to say it but I dont blame the league on this one. It’s kind of bullshit the Olympics won’t cut them in on anything. It would be nice if the players took a stand over the human rights issue but that’s probably expecting too much.
what if the NHL doesn't want to send players to China because they think that Canada winning 19-0 over China will make Chinese people hate the sport
