There's no bias in the league, the refs are just shit across the board. Game management needs to go out the fucking window. Call penalties and the players will adjust to it, maintain the same standard throughout the year. They want players to decide the game, but they impact the outcome if they let blatant penalties go. It's OK if one team has more PP's than the other, maybe that team dominated play or the other isn't disciplined. No one is perfect, refs are going to miss things but the refs are a story every singe night. It's exhausting.
I’m glad the tide is finally turning on game management officiating. Dan orourke has been ruining playoff games for years with this game management bull shit and he’s finally getting called out for it.
Through 20 years, Chris Lee has penalized the Canadiens 15% more than the average referee while penalizing the other team 1% less. There’s a clear and proven bias and he as no business reffing a Canadiens game. It’s ridiculous.
I don’t know this for a fact but I’m willing to declare this season has the most OTs ending in the first 3 minutes than any season in nhl history.
