The words women are also part of the problem should not have been used, that’s not exactly what I meant
I think what IHHH is struggling to convey is women in hockey circles carry a lot of internalized misogyny that just perpetuates the cycle. Not that it’s necessarily their fault. A lot of “boys will be boys” / “that’s just how it goes” attitudes
Brother you know I’ve got your back all the time. But not on this one. Women aren’t part of the problem. If you want to say men and women ( society in general ) are to blame for putting a professional athlete on a pedestal I agree. But in no way is a women, or in most cases a 15-19 year old young lady, responsible for the actions of another. Be it a hockey player or not. There is excuse ever for someone crossing the line on another person. It is a serious matter and I know you know that. You talked about how it needs to change.
I stand corrected. His comment is wrong and in no way do I agree with that sentiment. The interpretation of what was written…that men believe women are part of the problem is one that unfortunately still exists. And it needs to change. Apologies zeberdee miles
naw. It's still an L. Man did I get that one wrong. Thought Sens would get the better end of that one.
As I’m sure you’ll be shocked to hear, Sammy got injured again last game. Doesn’t sound serious, but Gallant said the same thing for his torn ACL last year so who knows.
we are on the same page, I am just very very bad at articulating my points sometimes. I should’ve worded that way differently. Women are not part of the problem, it’s just a bigger problem than just looking at one piece of shit doing this type of stuff to a woman. It’s rampant in these circles. It happens over and over again and it is looked at in a vacuum instead of seeing the bigger picture.
Hopefully with more and more women coming out like she did people will start to see that it is not just a case by case issue and that something is very wrong here.
He will be part of the organization when he retires. Good guy to have especially with our Gatineau and Quebecois fans.
i agree, they are kind of stuck though. Personally I think he should get another year in Finland. Not sure the ahl is the place to be for him either.
Rushing prospects who lost a year+ due to Covid is a wonderful idea /guy who wishes Kakko and Laf still had an extra year on their ELC
There is a smart cap reason to start him in the NHL but send him to europe tomorrow. but yeah, I don't think it's the best idea to start him in the nhl when he has a lot of development to do before he is ready to make an impact at the NHL level
He played a game with suzuki and caufield, he was the one dragging the line down. he seems to have better chemistry with anderson and dach.
Panthers are 500k under the cap with a roster of 20 players. This season is going to be an absolute roller coaster of cap pressure. Keeping Hornqvist on the roster was an absolutely baffling decision.
Rangers are at $182k with 23 roster players. And for someone unknown reason, they’re dead set on carrying 23 players.
Wings don’t play until Friday, and then they get three games in four nights. Great work by the league, as always.
I’ll say the same thing I always say. Opening night should be for the cup champs. Night two should be every other team in the NHL.
Not sure why the Avs aren’t opening tonight which is odd as usually the champs play opening night(opening night in NA anyway). Champs should also play a team they beat in the playoffs the year before, Oilers/Avs tonight on ESPN would’ve been a great showcase for league.

The Athletic started a countdown of the 100 greatest players of the expansion era (1967). They already announced Gretzky is #1. I am curious how this list turns out because #100 is MAF and I’m just not sure how I feel about that one.
Im assuming it will be Gretzky Mario Orr and Howe as the top 4 ( in whatever order ). Who do they put at #5? Who is the second D on the list?
We've had this discussion before. I put him 3 right behind Potvin. But I’m biased there too. Do you agree the top 4? Who is 5?
Since the list starts in 67, I’m guessing they are going to view Howe’s career as 67 on which means I am not sure he makes the list.
I think the top 10 in no order should be Gretzky Lemieux Orr Howe Hasek Roy Ovie Lidstrom Messier Crosby
I feel like the top 5 ends up Gretzky, Mario, Orr, Crosby and Lidstrom. I expect Hasek ends up in the top 10 (rightfully so). After that I have no idea.
