Am I in the minority for liking these? I'm not saying they're top 10 or anything, and I know they're not creative whatsoever, but I think the black and white with the blue accent looks really clean. My other controversial opinion is these are way too low and some of the best in the game. (Sens I mean)
This is a way better list than the one the NHL network posted Yeah, he's exhibit A for the argument that IQ is still by far the most important attribute in the game. He's average to below average in pretty much every other traditional category that teams look for in prospects. (Also why drafting players is so hard compared to some other sports- the most important attribute is very difficult to accurately gauge until a guy gets to the NHL)
If the Utah team had a real nickname and these weren’t temporary, these would be ranked a lot higher. Because looking at purely the uniform, these are wildly underrated. Horizontal striping and a good color palette is like 85% of making a good hockey jersey.
they look like they should be the jerseys of the villain team in a mighty ducks movie that could cut either way
I scrolled the entire results hoping to trigger some hot takes but I largely agree with the voting. Though I agree that the Utah uniforms are not worthy of #31 and should be middle of the pack. The Sharks should be top 10 as well.
Not gonna lie. They are fucking amazing. Small humble brag. Drinking out of the cup is the best feeling in the world. NFL season is already over for me and I couldn’t give a shit because I’m still enjoying this cup win.
getting a good dose of exposure to Habs online since they're all obsessed with Michkov and it's not fun.
it’s so ridiculous to watch them try to shit on michkov to validate demidov. Get over it you bunch of weirdos.
when does the Canadian media start complaining/asking for CBA changes simply because Crosby was born on 8/7/87?
Listening to 32 Thoughts - Did we ever discuss the reason Merek was canned? Im not sure we did. What an idiot. Bukauskas does seem to have pretty good chemistry w Elliott so that's good
I don't think we did. Also, he was tipping picks to a friend. Big deal. I'm sure there are a dozen other reporters doing the same thing. It felt like when ESPN got rid of Adnan Virk. Find a rule that he's breaking to fire him with cause even though everyone else is breaking the same rule.
The difference between him an other reporters is he work(ed) for a rights holder. There were bigger gambling/insider trading (for lack of a better term) implications Sounds weird but Im glad it was something stupid like that, instead of something bad like domestic violence or pedo shit. I like Merek. Didnt want it to be something awful.
There actually werent though because individual pick betting was halted the night before. So there were no gambling implications to his leaks.
A little. I don’t think it was a big deal what he did, but I’m sure the leagues dont want any hint of insider info being disclosed now that they’re all in bed with gambling companies. The pod has been alright so far, going to take some time getting used to Bukauskus as the host instead of Marek. Hopefully Marek lands on his feet somewhere.
Word was Bell was interested in a second GTA squad and brining back les Expos. The baseball team makes more sense as they have RDS.
Didn't realize the Panthers were going to be the road team for CBJ's home opener. That's going to be a tough night for all.
Dallas signs Harley 2x4. 100% should have been another offer sheet. Also related- it's crazy how much Dallas was completely saved by Klingberg turning down 8m AAV with term. They'd be in cap hell right now and he was completely cooked in what would have been the second year of the deal.
11 captains in like 30 years seems impossible considering Stamkos and Lecavalier had to serve for like 20 between them.
I’d be curious to know who has had the most in that period of time. Detroit only had four which would obviously be near the bottom.
Since 1990 - not including Kraken/VGK Fewest: Pittsburgh (4), Detroit (4), LA (6), Boston (6) Most: Minnesota (23), Buffalo (22), Philly (14), St Louis (14)
I have zero recollection on whoever the hell Alex Henry is, or that he ever played for the Wild (let alone for two full seasons)
I hope he just retires for his own sake tbh. Reports were that his body was held together by scotch tape at times last year.
Meh. He is always doubling down on something. It also doesn’t take a genius to realize this is a messy negotiation.
The Canes made a “money bags” shirt when Seth Jarvis signed his big extension and the whole team showed up for training camp wearing them.
