Wish they’d say the tentative schedule. my wife woke up today to find out I bought tickets for game 1 (we live 4 hours away). No idea if I can even go but bought tickets before they were gone since they released them at midnight.
Panthers won more playoff games this round than the entire thrashers and Atlanta flames existences combined. (the answer there is two)
Monday would mean that’s the only game. Will they do that? For personal reasons I hope it’s Tuesday. Have a basketball league on mondays. Rather not have to skip a game.

They got massively hot after the deadline so people bought into that adding a bunch of bottom 6 guys fixed all their underlying numbers. Shockingly, it was just a hot streak. Rangers are still frauds, but shesterkin.
It didn’t help that their deadline acquisitions then got hurt. And their #2 dman. Those guys are now back and they’ve won two in a row.

I knew that the 5v5 advanced stats weren’t in their favor, but I expected Shesterkin to be a lot better than he has been. I think he’s in his own head a bit after being pulled in two straight games
It’s certainly a huge part of it. Scouting report wise, the Rangers have zero defensive depth. Their bottom pair has been hot trash all season long. Beyond that, none of their scoring forwards other than Kakko play any defense whatsoever. So yeah, losing their top defensive defenseman and their top defensive forward/PKer is going to have major adverse effects on a team already extremely shaky defensively. A goalie no longer standing on his head - possibly due to injury - also doesn’t help.
First game of the season. After playing basically prison rules outside at the park, I will be lucky to not foul out. Happens every year.
Dislike that 9 call narrative since two were delay of games and one was a clear double minor for high sticking. But that was a brutal call on Trocheck.
