They couldn't just settle for "non-issue" they had to lie and say "more watchable" fwiw I haven't watched a single game this year in full because the ads make it unbearable for me
The digital ads have gotten a lot better from where they were the first few weeks of the season. Saying that, this is how they should have been from the start of the year. Some early season broadcasts were a joke.
Agreed 100%. There were some god awful tech glitches early on in the season (especially around the goals) that made big moments difficult to watch. They’ve seemingly been fixed since though. Overall, ad experience is ad experience. It sucks by default but it isn’t going away. Once the tech issues were ironed out, I don’t see it any better or worse than it was previously. Just different.
I only notice them if they change or if there’s a one that has motion. They do look a little weird since they don’t look like natural boards but they’ve never bothered me. Maybe because my job is in product placement and advertising research so I’m numb to it.
Was maybe 55/45 he’d get if during Covid but a devastating injury is only thing stopping him now Might get 50 again this year
I have no idea what Hronek is thinking turning his head in the middle of the ice, but also that’s a direct hit to the head. The league has to be policing those hits.
While Hronek moved his head at the last second, that was an absolutely predatory hit either way that would've resulted in head contact regardless of Hronek's last second actions.
Terrible call in the Canucks/Flames game. Myers catches the puck and immediately drops it on the ice. Penalty for closing his hand on the puck. NHL defensemen do this every game at the blueline. Would love to see the refs interpretation if a player catches a puck open handed and skates with it up the ice without closing his hand on the puck. Would bet refs would still call it a penalty.
I can tell you what he was thinking, he’s thinking in todays game nobody is going to him because a big open ice hit will always be a penalty
