Ryan O'Reilly heard about this Native American hockey team that was getting a bunch of racist slurs thrown at them during the game. He's bought them a suite for the game in Ottawa tonight. Pretty cool. Hockey players are the best.
I don't think it was either. Just funny that it happened again the very next period after all the talk about it at the end of their last game. However, it does seem like this has been happening super often this year, where it comes off easily just by goalies leaning on it. Apparently they're already working on a new system so it looks like that'll be addressed.
Even if it's off its moorings, supposedly the rule is "if the integrity of the net is not compromised, it's still a goal." I can see how some could think that, as that rule is super arbitrary and the goal was only a little a little bit off.
If it was chipped in from right in front then I’d get it. But the post was off the line and made the angle much easier from the side.
It should be a goal imo, the goalie made the net move and it would’ve went in anyaway. Especially since the goalie was playing the post, not like he was out and the net moved behind him. That should be a goal.
crazy to me that a place like Toronto can have such bad ice. also Marner has been an absolute monster tonight.
at the beginning of the second period they had to delay the game because there were puddles everywhere. I don’t think events were the issue.
You don’t think that having more shows in a building can lead to some mistakes while switching from ice to a stage?
I really don’t care to argue it I just don’t think it had much to do with the issues tonight. it’s a minor thing anyway.
Carolina had 83 shot attempts and Columbus had 29, and Columbus won by 3 (with an empty netter) lol, Jesus
Russian goalies are exactly like Russian forwards, when they are on they are unreal...then they have an off game. Except for vasy, that dude might be the best ever
Tbh still can’t decide if he’s good or awful, 4 years into me living in Columbus Something off with him
Damn. He’s 2020 draft right? He’s only 17 They also list him at 5’6” Edit. Nevermind. Looks like he’s 18
