I know hockey canada isnt the NHL but it's still an incompetent hockey organization in the same way the NHL is. How horrifyingly impressive it would be if they find enough competence to actually keep this swept under the rug?
Nice 3-0 win over the champs after being dominated most the game Looks like we have a new #1 goalie going forward
Vegas had 6-7 breakaways and 70+ shot attempts and postgame guys talking about how great the overall performance was
The nicest surprise has been Letang improving defensively since he is no longer be asked to be the offensive defenseman. And Jeff Carter finally being taken out of the lineup. Ryan Graves sucks though.
Even when the panthers were bad I really don’t think the arenas looked like what I am seeing in San Jose right now
There are numerous sections in the lower bowl that have 5-10 people in them. Is there some storm in the area of something? This is insane
Also. I’m convinced the Canucks are winning the presidents trophy. It doesn’t matter what happens in the game, they find a way to be on top. Get dominated at 5 on 5? Win 5-2. Dominate at 5 on 5, finally have some bad puck luck, get 6 power plays and win in OT. Never seen a team living such a charmed existence.
The inevitable 8 game losing streak in January that forces them to make a wildly dumb trade is the only outcome I’ll accept
something is broken. Rod and Staal post game basically admitted parts of the team aren’t on board, which has to be assumed as Orlov and Bunting because they’re the only new guys.
Atlantic alone 1. Bruins-HOW??? 2. Panthers- How are they doing this with so many injuries? 3. Detoit- Cooled off after a hot start but wat? 4. Leafs- Lower than expected 5. Lightning- .500? WAT 6. Montreal- .500? WAT 7. Sabres- Sub .500 A bit below what was expected but a lot below what that fanbase expected. 7. Senators. sub .500 A bit below what was expected but a lot below what that fanbase expected. Also, LOL
Some organizations are just really well run. I have no explanation outside of that, but it happens from time to time in professional sports where a certain team just stays good regardless of player personnel, coaching, etc. The Bruins just seem to be that.
They don’t “reach” on any free agents, they draft pretty well, they don’t overpay, and they let guys go when it’s time.
you are right about that being the best way to maintain success, but still, that team is WAY better than it has any right to be when looking at the roster.
I’m about to go full Canespiracy have had like 6 disallowed goals this year and now our goalie is getting cross checked in the crease and not only does goal stand but a penalty
