I figure being a pompous American Canadiens fan could send Gunners to the hills. Doing my part for you all. And when Detroit signs Ekblad it’ll be to anchor our second pairing which is fine. But not at what it’s gonna cost.
Kinda the problem. He's gonna get paid like a #1 while not being close to one. And his game will not age well.
So this was incredibly cool but I give extra credit to TNT here on managing that situation. Usually they show all the main guys with the cup then as the cup transitions to the healthy scratches and assistant coaches they do their on ice interviews. This time they had to manage all around that. It was the first time I could remember the split screen where they didn’t stop showing who had the cup and put the interviews in smaller windows.
Don't make me go take screenshots of the shots that were available in the first periods to the Panthers
Their goaltending is mid as fuck, but their team defense is also very mid. McDavid made a huge mistake on the 2nd goal leaving tkachuk to try and doubleteam loustarinen on the wing.
This is pretty good. First you watch the celebration obviously, then you watch the crowd and there are some gems in there. A bunch of people having the times of their life. Some sad Oilers fans. Guys who need to beat traffic so they leave and skip the celebration. One guy who seems pissed to even be there
yup. Ekholm threw an absolute grenade at Bouchard's skates and then got walked. I give Ekholm a pass because he was playing hurt but when he is your shut down guy playing like that, you are gonna have a bad time. Also Bouchard, Klingberg, and Walman were completely redundant. Add in Nurse and the Oilers had nowhere to hide. There was always a liability on the ice
Can't imagine leaving before the cup ceremony. I didn't leave until every player was off the ice at around 12:30
Too many times people get blackballed for being found innocent because people think they are guilty. It should not affect his career after being found innocent.
I get where you are coming from. For every Duke Lacrosse there are 100 instances of these guys being monsters and getting away with it. So I get the overcorrection, but guilty before innocent leads to some extremely bad consequences.
Correct. I have no problem with suspending or releasing the player, but the court of public opinion will always be guilty. Guarantee you can still find people that think the Duke Lacrosse is guilty. But being found not guilty should be clear enough evidence to sign a player back right away.
It's a 360 so you can basically zoom in on any fan in the area. The guys I was talking about where gone at the final horn and not coming back Perhaps it's twice in a year for them and they don't properly appreciate it
He’s talking about Detroit. Detroit already has Seider as 1RD. We are talking about Yzerman signing him for 7x9 to be 2RD. Way worse than what you’re talking about.
That's the one issue with "being good" the die hards get priced out and replaced with wealthy casuals who just want to say they were there.
My pops saw it 3 times in 5 years. Caps win in Vegas, Lightning at home and Avalanche in Tampa. I got to see it once with the Lightning. Made it 10x more sweet it was over Montreal IHHH
I've seen it twice and will hopefully see it a few more times and if I ever get tired of it just kill me
Avalanche 1996 Panthers 2024 I just need to get my kids there now. Unfortunately wasn’t going to be able to make last night work but one day I’ll do the ohhaithur game 7 method to make sure they see it.
I don't disagree that Klingberg is barely NHL quality, but their skill sets are redundant. Offensive D-man who don't play a lick of defense
Exactly what’s happened to the Canes the last 2-3 years. The lower bowl has totally swapped out with the corporates and the richers. Upper deck is now the die hards who used to sit lower bowl for $75.
pretty brutal. Reinhart Grade 2 MCL sprain Tkachuk, abductor muscle completely tore off the bone and a sports hernia.
I remember him on the bench in pain but I couldn’t remember how it happened. Was it a puck that hit him?
but his mistakes are always pretty noticeable, when he messes up it’s not just a little one. Doesn’t help him that people always see it because their goalies never make any save on good scoring chances
