Can’t find the replay but this was disallowed The Preds forward did barely make contact with Bernier’s pad, but Bernier was able to reset before his own player took him out. That is the kind of play the league needs to err on the side of good goal on.
lol if you say that the rule says it’s a good goal I can’t really tell you anything because I don’t know. If you say that it makes sense that it was disallowed and that the rule makes sense then you are just showing your anti mtl bias once again. What is it with you and mtl? Do mtl players take turns on your gf whenever they are in miami? the d clearly pushes the mtl player into murray
I’m always team goalie. I see it as Gallagher going through the crease on his own and incidental contact with the defense leading to the contact with Murray. Murray is never able to find the puck again before it’s behind him. It’s a straight forward call. consider that Gallagher leads the NHL in goalie interference penalties over the last 5 years and it tells me that my read on the play is correct. He plays it very close to the line around the net and he got burned today. selfishly, I would have been good with the goal being allowed. Have Gallagher in my pool and GWGs are a category. Would have been nice.
I don’t think he wants that job. Too much front office interference. He wants total control of the lineup.
I could see that as well. I feel like there is more to Julien’s firing; curious to see what the story is.
Ihhh is gonna think this is more habs hate, but it’s simply overblown expectations. That’s a bottom 3rd roster in the NHL that was hot in the bubble and was hot to start the season against a soft schedule. Their underlying numbers are pretty good. Julien’s system is good. They just don’t have the forward talent to score enough goals.
Just think the three C’s they have are too young or inconsistent. Decent depth on wings and on D. But KK and Suzuki can’t match up with Toronto, Winnipeg or Edmonton.
I find in the offensive zone they are still a perimeter team. Great in transition or shots from the point but don’t go through the middle of the ice in the opposition zone.
i think I am done with that schtick, I think it’s a pretty nice team but they definitely lack fire power. They’ve been pretty bad defensively for a while too.
So whose turn is it? Vigneault or Therrien? seriously, the candidates will be guy Boucher, Joel Bouchard and maybe pascal Vincent I would roll the dice and go with Bouchard.
Per reddit, Julien's record when fired: 2006 Montreal: 19-16-6 (.537, in playoff spot) 2007 New Jersey: 47-24-8 (.646, in playoff spot) 2017 Boston: 26-23-6 (.527, in playoff spot) 2021 Montreal: 9-5-4 (.611, in playoff spot)
I say this nicely ^^^This statement. does not mesh with these statements. It's a roster with solid depth, but no high end talent. Price is unfortunately a shell of his former self, same with Weber. They've got a bunch of guys who would play on the middle 6 of pretty much every playoff team in the NHL, but nobody that should be considered a top line player. Someone like Suzuki and to a lesser extent Romanov should get there, but right now this is a team without a top line or legitimate top defensive pairing. That isn't going to cut it in today's NHL.
Canadiens making knee-jerk decisions on coaches when the roster is clearly not in place to win a cup is such an interesting trend. They always seem to throw blame at the wrong people.
Sure it’s an English speaking university but still he lived in the province for four years. I’m sure he learned enough to speak hockey in French.
molson said just a few weeks ago in the French version of Spittin chiclets that there was no way they would ever hire a coach who can’t speak French. which is kind of funny to me since Julien could barely speak French
