feels like a global pandemic isn’t the time to fuck around with the “upper body injury” nonsense the league gives us during the playoffs
Obviously being as optimistic as possible here, but assuming this all actually works out, this television viewing experience is going to be pretty awesome. Work production will also plummet.
The influx of talent they’re going to get in a year or two is going to be ridiculous, but the bad news is Doughty and Kopitars contracts are likely horrible by then.
Both Sens and LA sitting pretty with prospects. Still can’t believe Sens have 7 in the first two rounds this year and 4 next year ( 1/2 ). Wonder what LA does if Byfield goes #1.
They traded for Kase at the deadline but he didn’t play well in the handful of games he played with Boston. Now he has Covid and it sounds like he also might have exposed Pasta in the process.
as long as you are going hard to the net you should be fine, obviously if everything is being equal you would prefer more size but not at the detriment of high motor, hard work and skill.
You're joining at a great time. Starting August 1, hockey is on TV basically all day for a couple of months.
I've gone to a handful of Rangers games so I do know the game a lil bit. Strategy and intricacies...nah.
Yell shoot it every time your team enters the offensive zone and you will be as knowledgeable as the average Bruins/Leafs fan.
I know some people are getting super granular on the Kraken thing being atlantic and not pacific, but I honesty think they did an awesome job with everything here. Cool name, good color scheme, awesome logos. Jerseys also don’t stink.
as southside pointed out, Kraken is technically of Scandinavian folklore and there is a massive Scandanavian population in Seattle. As much as I dislike the name, it does make some sense and the logos, colors, jerseys are top-notch.
Imagine being a wild fan and seeing what Vegas and Seattle got and realize you are stuck with those awful jerseys and stupid name
And the nordiques, which was an ok name but man did we get shit on by English media...the no dicks was a pretty common nickname.
I don't mind our sweaters, but everything is a massive downgrade from the North Stars days. This was the list of team names that were the finalists, and Wild might have been the worst choice of the group (though Freeze is close for me). Blue Ox Freeze Northern Lights Voyageurs White Bears Wild Blue Ox would have probably been my choice of the group, though Northern Lights could have been interesting if done properly (but if not done well, that could have turned out horrendous).
Seems weird. He’s done a decent job imo. They have a good young pool of talent. But not going to the bubble and not being involved in the Hall negotiations seems bad
There was a good article a while back about how he basically turned them from a fairly poor team with lots of cap space into a slightly below average team with no cap space. What’s a bit more concerning imo is that he’s kind of a champion of the young analytical GM types and the coyotes analytics aren’t good.
If you’re gonna call your state the land of 10,000 lakes when there’s others with millions you might as well call your team that only sees the northern lights once in a blue moon ox by that too.
