I’m so excited for the Flames game today. It’s amazing that Tkachuk has eclipsed Marchand as the biggest agitator in hockey, at such a young age. Honestly, this might be where the Jets miss Buf most. You could have trusted him to play those minutes against the Tkachuk line, and provide an equally physical presence.
Didn’t the exhibitions go 100% under as well? Crazy the regular season total was a standard 6-6.5 now it’s back to 5.5 almost across the board. Which is the only thing keeping me from blindly betting them all today.
maybe I'm being naive, and even knowing that Tkachuk likes to play hopscotch with the line, that didn't look intentional yesterday. Looked like he lost an edge and his skate came up.
I think Maurice calling him out is just to take some focus off his team. It was an unfortunate play but not dirty.
the clips were out last night during the game. They just didn't feel the need to blast it out non-stop.
Kunin grabbed his stick, and the player that got speared was Hartman. Kunin ended up getting a 2 minute interference penalty and Ferland got a 2 minute slashing penalty.
taking a full minute to gain possession in the zone during a 5 on 3 is really bad. But then all it takes is one good pass and Panarin has a goal.
That tracking overhead shot is pretty cool for plays through the neutral zone, but sucks for when the picks are in the zone. Like the camera angle from behind the goal for PPs
No doubt the Rangers are tanking for the #1 pick. Choosing to play your 3rd best goalie is never a winning strategy
once they got set up, absolutely. The problem is that it took them over a minute to gain full possession in the offensive zone during a 5 on 3. That's beer league level hockey. It all ended up with a goal but for a while it was pathetic. Ok. too many posts about a PP that ended up a goal
You said "the prior minute" not "the first minute" which is why I disagreed. We both saw the same thing and agree, carry on.
New thread title please. Just two humble suggestions.. NHL Thread: We're Playing Bubble Hockey NHL Thread: Tonight's Attendance: 0
Tkachuk and Scheif are friends and train together in the offseason which is a big part of the reason Tkachuk said he felt terrible about it. Maurice doesn’t even believe that was intentional imo. Just hardcore gamesmanship.
