Beatles - Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, White Album, Abbey Road Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, The Wall Oasis - Definitely Maybe Nas - Illmatic (I really like Stillmatic too) Bowie - Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, Hunky Dory Velvet Underground and Nico Rolling Stones - Exile on Main St., Sticky Fingers Fugazi - 13 Songs Steely Dan - Can't Buy a Thrill Tool - Undertow, AEnima Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense (somewhat cheating) Wu Tang - 36 Chambers Paul Simon - Graceland QOTSA - Songs for the Deaf Metallica - Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning Parquet Courts - Wide Awake
Lots of good ones mentioned already, don’t think I saw these two. I’m big fans of Kendrick Lamar - Damn. Chance the Rapper - Coloring Book
Jesus Christ people three pages in and nobody's mentioned the mostest perfectest rock album ever produced: Hotel California Desperado is up there for me too, as are Boston and Wish You Were Here. I'd put Dark Side of the Moon on the list also if it weren't for the fact that whenever I hear Money I feel like Elaine Benes having to watch The English Patient
Did anyone say Paul’s Boutique yet? Well, Paul’s Boutique. I’ll come back to do my full list, going to late lunch and to see Aladdin right now. Important things.
Haven't read all the pages so SIAP but Metallica Black Album also. TV on the Radio Seeds is also great.
Tool- 10,000 days Any Vampire Weekend album DMX- It’s Dark and Hell is Hot Alice In Chains- Jar of Flies Nirvana- Unplugged in NY (yes cheating for it being a compilation, but what a solid listen front to back)
Give me Reasonable Doubt over Blueprint Pretty much anything Hans Zimmer does I'll listen to fully, guess Gladiator is probably #1. Inception is fantastic, Black Hawk Down is pretty underrated. Midnight Marauders
I love RD but it’s gotta couple of dem bad boy mid 90s type songs that I cannot listen to. As a whole, it’s every bit as good as BP but for me, BP is no skips
I would think this counts, but let’s say for instance the Forrest Gump soundtrack would not since it is hand selected to be all bangers from across the decades.
Why don’t you just give your list of overrated 70s and 80s pop rock acts and Bruno Mars and stop music shaming the great people of this board
A couple I didn’t see that are personal no skips: Arctic Monkeys- Whatever you think I am that’s what I’m not, suck it and see, favourite worst nightmare, and maybe AM Slint- Spiderland The xx- xx Anything by The Stooges The black keys- thickfreakness, magic potion A$AP Rocky-LIVE.LOVE.A$AP Modest mouse- the lonesome crowded west Neutral Milk Hotel- In the aeroplane over the sea The doors- LA woman Parquet Courts- Light up gold
There's some skips on there. Disc 2 is pretty much done after XYU. Or are you a big "We Only Come Out At Night" fan?
While it definitely has some great damn songs, there are almost as many skips as listens on that album.
