feel free to continue and non-Kaepernick athletes. Tia
Obviously not an athlete but probably one of two or three most popular musicians in the world with a mostly white fan base
carson wentz is a fucking weirdo and even he knows it’s a problem
Too Jesusy for me but better than nothing.
ohhh ok, I noticed all the Righty’s have turned on her the last few years but didn’t know why.

sorry to be an asshole, it just caught my eye
even harbaugh chimes in
Harbaugh, appearing Thursday on “The Rich Eisen Show,” was asked what he’s been reading in relation to the coronavirus pandemic that shut down all campus activity at Michigan in mid-March. He said he has been more focused on Floyd.
“Today I’ll tell you what, I’m really very upset about the George Floyd death,” Harbaugh said. “That’s got me preoccupied today. Horrendous. I’m just watching right now and looking forward to there being an investigation and waiting for charges. That’s completely outrageous.”
Harbaugh told Eisen he and Kaepernick speak or text every few weeks.
“There was a graphic I saw that too -- this is why he knelt,” Harbaugh said. “If you didn’t know then, you know now. That spoke volumes I thought.”
The LeBron "U BUM" tweet still does it for me every time
Except for his pretty ridiculous anti-abortion shit he’s pretty lefty as far as football coaches go.
fluker’s post was really good imo
Can’t wait to see all the right wing Facebook post about how these are privileged athletes and they get paid to play a game and should shut up.
People of privilege will post stuff like the above not realizing that most of these well paid athletes grew up with this and come from these neighborhoods. If someone has a following or sounding board to make change due their celebrity then good for them. The irony is their god Ronald Regan was a celebrity first and rose to power using that.
Bomani Jones has a theory that there’s a pretty direct correlation of the white football players who played high school basketball to those who actually have empathy for black people.
Joe Burrow and Travis Kelce being prime examples.

C’mon Lebron. This is a human rights initiative, not a lemonade stand.
You are a weirdo
Carson is the man
for those that didnt know Jackson and Floyd were close friends
Rookie class coming in hot #LSU Tigers
It’s almost as if the people who actually spent time around other races, saw that the preconceived notions that some have, are utterly ridiculous. I’d venture to say that the majority of people who actually are racist, have never spent any meaningful time around people from the race, that they pre-suppose themselves to hate.
Portland, OR huh
I think he lives out there now. He was about to move to Europe I believe.
he’s a good follow
stephen jackson is a good example of racism in the country. he did one bad thing and no one ever let him live it down
its basically a perfect correlation between homogeneous areas/segregated communities and bigotry. immigration is same way, the people who hate it the most have the least % immigrants in their communities.
good full thread
how do they know each other
Floyd was a very talented athlete
Meyers the Gawd
So is that why being tough on borders matters so much to people in Iowa?
being a SportsDad is a 24/7/365 commitment
Travis went to Heights High which is 80% black, so he grew up with first-hand experiences I’m sure. Chances are very likely that he witnessed his share growing up.
Athens is nearly all-white, so the basketball theory seems to apply pretty well for Joe. That, and his parents are probably just good people.
I forget his name, but there was an older Dallas newscaster who would comment on issues of race.
He brought up the fact that his father was massively racist, except against one black family that they knew personally, who were “different” and “good people.”
Essentially, the ONE black family that they knew were upstanding citizens, and every other black family that they didn’t know were basically savages. Seems appropriate in the current climate.
