What can a football coach do that wouldn’t be “window dressing” for you?
Wow incredible. Basically all of them have done that or something similar.
Maybe going on record and publicly speaking out against police and the immense number of other institutionalized races forces in this county, actually acknowledging how poverty persists among black people and how impossible it is to fix that without actual legislation that would lift them out of poverty. Telling all the old white UF fans in Florida to get bent if they rage when they see players protesting the national anthem. I get the feeling if Mullen said some of these things at a press conference or put out a statement it would make more waves.
By no means am I saying he's the only one who needs to do this, Tom Herman put out a better statement but he could have gone much further. Lundsford at Georgia Southern did similar things like Saban and Mullen here, it's just not much in my mind.
That Mack Brown video is very good
It would take calling out a large portion of the country and probably the majority of your fambase in the south. I get why they don't do that but I'm not going to think a march is actually going to fix the problem.
And "racial justice" is so bland that it could mean anything
Pretty cool stuff.
Meh. Window dressing!
“Look at all these Marxists!”
That guy definitely knows whether racism exists
When I try to figure out if racism exists, I feel Noel Le Grate should be the first person we go to.
Extreme Dabo energy
a black guy probably roasted his hairline and hes never gotten over it
Hopefully Ditka suffers a heart attack soonish
I guess dead soldiers trump systemic racism and murder
Boots gon boot
That dude sucks.
But the soldier was black!!!
that guy just has to go against the grain when his team is unified.
Another American black man killed due to illegal police activity.
We’ve got a live one
#Notre Dame Fighting Irish
If that’s the worst you can find, yeah sure.
Tyler Eifert has been known to be a maga piece of shit for awhile, fuck him
Fucking Ft. Wayne man.
Did not even know that, did not read the whole thing. But that seems benign compared to MSU campus being a rape fest for football players.
But yeah, I liked him. Not anymore
Is this really the path you want to go down?
yes, what do you have to say?
He's from a strong Purdue family so this adds up
Best not to throw stones, bud.
College football culture is toxic everywhere. It’s disgusting.
i can agree with that. But I don’t think an MSU fan has any room to talk about this. Let’s stop it here. And the culture is definitely not healthy. It think it is slowly getting better
The conversation was about racist, MAGA alumni. The proper retort would be to talk about Kirk Cousins or Jon Reschke. Instead you threw sexual assault into the conversation like a dipshit.
Good point, maybe I need to reflect on this because my first reflex was not to condemn eifert but to fight the MSU fan on it.
Lizzy Seeberg's story is tragic, but hardly sexual assault.
Also, if liking that tweet is the worst thing one of our actively playing alumni does then we're doing pretty good.
IHHH this isn’t a thread for sophomoric, Rivals-esque homer flaming. Thanks.
i know, my bad
Gross. I’m done talking about this though.
You most likely have no idea what you're talking about, but okay keep making assumptions.
:( god damn it
Using a poor girl's struggle with mental health as a retort to someone calling your school out for covering up rape is what's gross.
we can all drop it, let’s get back to the topic at hand. Eifert liked something stupid, he unliked it and let’s hope he smartened up and did not do it just so he would not get some shit
O, we're still dismissing sexual assault accusations against football players in 2020.....
I read this blurb differently, thinking he was saying we need to taking our feelings for sports off the field, because we day
Eifert tweeted about meeting Trump. This is who he is, and who he is is a piece of shit.
The majority of his 'likes' on Twitter are pretty cringeworthy.
