This has to mean the PAC 12 will be at 8 PM most weeks.
What kind of stupid times are these
Fox knows the money is in the upper crest time zone. Have fun with your ethanol subsidies.
Did you just reply to yourself right now
They better have Pam Ward announcing.
But when will I have time to watch bottom tier big ten schools duke it out?
I approve of this.
seems pretty dumb to go against UNC games but what do I know
Maybe he forgot to sign into his alt account?
As the only top tier team in the Big Ten, I strongly object to this news.
This is such a stupid idea. Why would the take the time slot with the lowest number of viewers to air the best game?
People who are watching at 8:00 are not going to watch at noon. They’re just going to watch whatever else is on at 8:00.
I for one look forward to watching my team at 2:30pm and in the evenings.
Need some more of that detox
Fox mainly airs Big 12 games so it’s still going to be a shitty game.
I like it. Shits annoying when there isn't shit on at noon then there's 5 games you want to watch at 3:30
Yep. There are maybe like 3 noon games a year that I care about so this will help spread things out a bit.
Why Fox thinks its a good idea, I have no clue.
Well no one watches the Fox night games against CBS or ABC right now, so they might actually get more viewers at noon.
Your face is a shitty game
probably because it's an open slot where abc and sec don't have games (or at least good games) on
Big 12 on Tbs at 6pm was fun in the early 2000s. Fox no matter what time is horrible on college games and forever has been.
Trying to get those Texas eyeballs during the actual prime time slot. I see you fox.
Joel Klatt is the best in the game.
Good. Noon starts give me enough time to get drunk after a loss, pass out, and wake up in time to catch the prime time games.
The only regular season noon game to crack the top 10 highest rated games in 2018 was Ohio State-Michigan, and that game would have had 1.5 times or better in prime time but it’s always a traditional noon start.
Only three noon games had the highest rated game of the week last year, out of 15 weeks of games—the Texas/OU Red River game, OSU/Michigan, and OSU/Maryland which spiked incredibly as we almost got upset.
It’s called prime time for a reason.
And so this barely answers the question asked by Fox of: what if there are more compelling games like the anecdotes you cited not going up against the ESPN/ABC behemoth?
Hard to understand why college football fans would be upset about more good games spread out so there aren’t 4 at the same time going on
We have a TV and a parking spot at ND so good Noon games are welcome.
I have three kids and a life. I rarely ever catch a noon game live. I’m juggling three other kids sporting events every Saturday afternoon.
Oh boy. NBC is even worse. Right, #Notre Dame Fighting Irish ???
Think some of it has to do with their new pregame show, even though it’ll probably get killed by Gameday in the ratings
It’s gotten better since Tirico started doing their games - he’s a pretty good play-by-play guy
Didn't know they could show violence that early in the day...don't want my grandchildren watching Iowa torture the #Ohio State Buckeyes at noon.that kind of thing is for grownups.
Been better since they hired Tirico. Flutie is awful. There is a big push on twitter to get Quinn, and he is ok. NBC tries so hard to be neutral that they end up praising shit teams for the whole game. It's weird when you have your own national network. I may be overstating because I only watch replays from NBC, but that has been my opinion.
I enjoy the Domers on nbc. Respect that cfb tradition. ND vs BC when BC won on the fg is my first memory with that.. Miss Mayock though
You're a bonafide white man now
Yuck. Too early
I need my 9:30 PAC 12 kickoffs so I can not remember much after the first quarter and pass out drunk
Mayock and Tirico would be awesome.
Edit: oh, and fuck you for bringing up '93 (I assume) That should be a natty. Fuck FSU.
They actually started this last year. I believe we had 8 said 11 am (cst, god time) games on Fox.
I’m undecided. I like this idea if I am not attending the game and hate it if I’m going.
I hope Beth Mowins gets all the noon slots.
I look forward to my first fall in 13 years being able to watch college football all day without having to miss most of it because of working games all day for work.
I really like the female PbP announcers. They study a LOT. Unfortunately their voices can be grating.
