mustipher and love in ESPN all america team. Didnt think Mustipher was all that good this year tbqh but i guess thats what building a name as an OL does
i hate to say this but i can't see love staying. i feel like his draft value has hit its ceiling, whatever that is
Young and dumb. BG will 100% use the Michigan game here with the fist pump as proof that he can win on a big stage. I'm sure he has had other moments like that elsewhere. It'll fizzle quickly.
anyone know of a site that would list all previous ND All Americans? I've seen where it will list consensus - but nothing for those who maybe were only named to one.
So just some entertainment for y'all to have a discussion: Part 1 What will happen with the following players(transfer/quit/go pro/come back): Brandon Wimbush Chase Claypool Miles Boykin Javon McKinley Isaiah Robertson Alize Mack Julian Okwara Khalid Kareem Alohi Gilman Devin Studsill Donte Vaughn Julian Love (add anyone you think is missing) Part 2: Where do you see the following guys get drafted Alex Bars Alize Mack Dexter Williams Sam Mustipher Jerry Tillery Drue Tranquill TeVon Coney Julian Love (add anyone you want to add)
Part 1 What will happen with the following players(transfer/quit/go pro/come back): Brandon Wimbush - grad transfer Chase Claypool - come back Miles Boykin - pro Javon McKinley - come back Isaiah Robertson - not entirely sure who this is so going with transfer Alize Mack - go pro Julian Okwara - come back Khalid Kareem - come back Julian Okwara - still come back Alohi Gilman - come back Devin Studsill - transfer Donte Vaughn - come back Julian Love - go pro (add anyone you think is missing) Part 2: Where do you see the following guys get drafted Alex Bars - udfa Alize Jones - 5-6 Dexter Williams - 4-5 Sam Mustipher - 4-5 Jerry Tillery 2-3 Drue Tranquill - udfa TeVon Coney - 3-4 Julian Love - late 1-early 3
Brandon Wimbush - grad transfer Chase Claypool - back Miles Boykin - back Javon McKinley - transfer Isaiah Robertson - transfer (I had high hopes for him but the position change was a sign IMO) Alize Mack - pro Julian Okwara - back Khalid Kareem - back Julian Okwara - back Alohi Gilman - back Devin Studsill - transfer Donte Vaughn - transfer Julian Love - pro Where do you see the following guys get drafted Alex Bars - 6th Alize Jones - 5-6 Dexter Williams - 4-5 Sam Mustipher - 4-5 Jerry Tillery 2-3 Drue Tranquill - 6-7 TeVon Coney - 3-4 Julian Love - 1-2
if thats the case we can take a lot more commits and actually try and win the recruiting championship
Speaking of transfers, I forgot all about CJ Sanders playing for SMU. He hasn't done shit, but he's there
Have there been any hints about what Alize's plans are? I see most are guessing that he'll go pro, but i feel like he could improve his draft position a lot if he stayed and has a more consistent year
I think Julian is going to get a second round grade and come back. Seems to have the type of personality to want to finish out his tenure at Nd.
Personality wise, he seems like the exact type we’ve been able to hang onto in the past. The draft grade worries me though. Or more so, I’m worried he already hit his ceiling and won’t have much left to grow at ND at this point.
I am interested to see the impact of St. Brown and Adams sliding in the draft, and relative success in spite of dropping, will have on those receiving evaluations. Hopefully Adams making the league minimum as a starting running back will push people to return.
I keep on hearing comments about "hitting his draft ceiling." Maybe I'm a big dummy, but isn't half of it how good you grade, and half of it is how good everyone else in your draft class is too? I see on most draft boards that Greedy Williams and Deandre Baker seem to be the 1 and 2 corners and I see a lot of the guys from Penn St. and Washington too so Love will probably grade between the third and fifth corner in the class. If it's a stacked corner class and next year is weaker (I don't claim to know these things as facts), I can see him coming back to be the #1 or 2 next year if he knows he'll be 4 or 5 this year. I don't anticipate him being a combine warrior so don't think he'll get any higher this year than he is.
In general the 2020 draft is thought to be stronger than 2019 by a wide margin. Even if he is higher on the CB pecking order next year, 2019 has several pispositi completely devoid of talent like OT, WR, RB and QB.
Not that it really means much, but just scanned through 4-5 mock drafts published this week that all generally have Love going in the middle of the 2nd round.
Interesting that they offered Galloway and not Ivey which Brey recently watched go head to head. With Niele seeming like the coach in waiting for the girls team figured that it was a matter of time that he’d get an offer, especially with Purdue recently offering.
