Kaliber is a decent NA beer, so I’m cool with the partnership, hopefully they carry it at ND stuff too.
murphys red is what i prefer to drink during ND games. Could very well be a dutch brand pretending to be irish though
That's Kevin White's music! For real though, we'd be idiots to let the ACC hire Swarbrick out from under us. I also had a thought today. We are going to win this years natty and it won't really count because only half the country is playing.
There is a player from ND in the US Am I'm watching last night's coverage through so there is a chance he lost today.
I think there were 4...and almost a 5th who was about to grad transfer until golf was canceled this year.
Anyone that is a Guinness fan, do yourself a favor and never get a fresh pint of it in Ireland, because you will then think it tastes meh as fuck when you get back stateside.
I drink a lot of craft beer and think Guinness is nothing special, yet I really enjoy drinking it. I don't know if I would care if I came back to the US and had lesser Guinness. I am probably wrong though
The Guiness Brewery in Dublin is a fun time. The all glass bar at the top at the end provides a 360 degree panorama of the city. Beautiful views and great beer. I was lucky enough to watch a thunderstorm roll in and over the city while up there. Totally worth it - and yes, it tastes better than any pint you'll drink stateside.
One of the many things ruined by the pandemic is not being able to visit my best friend in Dublin to drink Guinness with him and see Notre Dame play there. also, anyone who bought tickets, have you gotten the refund yet?
Isn't there a bit of a deep bench out there of AD candidates with ND ties? Maybe he's considering retiring soon anyways but would take a cushy conference job on the way out. If it meant having a seat at the table with ND's interests in mind
We got refunded for Dublin and Green Bay, They are still holding the money for the 6 home games. Yeah it seems like every other AD has ND connections. We could easily grab a good one. Swarbrick just seems to have played this entire thing as well as possible so it would suck to see him go, but, I completely get it.
he is incredibly religious and conservative. The guy gets so mad. Does this sound American to you? I love this country and I love the people in here, I might think you are stupid but I still love you....classic line
I trust Elston a lot, he's probably the only position coach to truly get recruiting at ND. He evaluates hard, never under or over recruits, and his players develop. But losing Abiara and replacing him with Schwietzer is meh to me and not a match at all. I'd rather have seen ND take the kid from down the street who was begging for an ND offer earlier this year: https://247sports.com/player/cooper-jones-46083866/ My dad just reffed the Valpo scrimmage and said this Cooper kid was a monster, he lined up all over for Valpo. Since ND will have open spots, just take both Jones and Schweitzer then. Go full Stanford with the all white DL
If there is a finite amount of time and energy to go around in recruiting, I'd rather chase other targets than a low 4* that's been committed since the spring at the deepest position on the team. If there was a card they could play that would keep him, by all means that's be great. But if you still don't feel comfortable with his pledge then it makes sense to take someone else and the recruit Abiara as if he's uncommitted.
i trust Elston, i am not a trust the coaches guy as you all know but in this instance i give him the benefit of the doubt. If they are letting him go it means that they saw something that bothered them.
Nice to see the staff not getting stuck with less than desirable numbers at a position. Seems like across the board they are getting more comfortable processing kids so we can take a few flyers once we miss out on the top guys.
I mean Abiara was not coming so w/e. This kid's tape is pretty good. Looks more like a 3-4 OLB to me but I guess it is relatively similar to what he'd do at ND. Liked Abiara more but Elston has a great track record at the position and there is a lot of depth so yolo
