im pretty sure that LSU and a few others went the whole, lets hope everybody already gets it in april so everybody is protected in the fall approach
Yeah I mean the fact that we’re basically allowing coaches to come up with their own protocols was a losing endeavor. And very unfortunate we were one of the ones to majorly fuck it up.
This thread is slow so I will share a witty remark I got to make during the USF game that no one I talk to in real life would appreciate. My wife's name is Lauren and we were staying with her parents that weekend. Her mom was going to take her car somewhere but couldn't find her keys so she was running around screaming "where's Lauren's keys" while I was trying to watch the game so I said "he's out with Covid this week" even though I knew no one would appreciate it.
I was listening to a podcast and they said noon so I was just wondering since I haven’t heard anything. If it’s after practice it’s probably a fluid hour
Every man is an audience of one when the environment dictates it. If the options are: 1. Staying silent, wasting an easy joke 2. Saying it out loud, prompting self entertainment and confusion from other ppl in the room Go with #2 every time.
Oh he’s the worst. I forced my way out of his region in January only to be brought back in August. Can’t trust the guy.
The long and short of it is the guy is an awful sales manager. Used to berate people for not performing and set ridiculous goals for people. He’d find whatever flaw you had and just pick at it until you either snapped or fell in line. I took a few days off after Christmas so on Christmas Eve he made me stay longer than anyone else. I said fuck it and quit. Dude will step on whoever he needs to get an edge. Was once demoted two levels of management back to a sales position because of shady shit he did. Has since sucked enough dick to get back to where he was in management.
Pretty much the gist of it. I unfortunately had to get TRS involved in January with the SVP (who I’m confident you know who it is because they are boys) and caught him in a lie that allowed me to go where I wanted; I had never even thought of getting others involved at any point of my career until this occurred so it was a shock to the system. By chance I’m back with him and he avoids communicating with me besides saying good things during meetings because everyone knows what transpired previously. He’s just a micro managing prick, however, and I absolutely hate working for him.
This « coffee’s for closers only » annoys me because it reminds me of rivals. But whatever. Did you guys listen to the spindler dad interview, dude is hilarious. Perfect type to start the new oline brotherhood.
i think a lot more would have to go down for that to happen, but this isn't helping his situation. he's lost a lot of respect across campus, but it only matters if he loses that respect/trust from the people who actually matter.
There is a greater than 0 chance that an ND football player kills the president in a round about way. That’s hilarious to me.
Cancel the rest of the games and put ND in the playoffs. If this shit offends you, I'll search for a fuck to give, but im pretty sure I'm out.
Making a mistake happens. It's not forgotten but can be forgiven. Not owning up to a personal mistake is unforgivable. And in this context, it almost makes it impossible to lead the university under the current circumstances. He needs to publicly address his mistake more directly and/or be subject to some type of discipline.
There were at least 12 faculty members who went to the ceremony last week and they’re all awaiting tests now. Yet I’m encouraged (and have been adhering) to not leave the area to “protect the Notre Dame community.” The irony is that they all went bc it was such a big moment for ND, but instead it’s just led to public humiliation for Jenkins and ND as a whole.
I'm biased of course as I say this as an alum who doesn't see the moment as one worth celebrating. Yet it was completely irresponsible to go in the first place. Then to play along with the Trump charade of no masks while on camera, despite the very risks they had been warning everyone else about, was both hypocritical and negligent. We're going to be tied in history to a super spreader event that was already controversial to begin with, but also led to a mass infection of attendees including our turd for a President. First the football team. Now this. It has not been a good few weeks for ND. We deserve the derision and scorn being heaped upon us. Poor leadership across the board.
Do law schools of supreme court justice nominees typically send over a dozen reps to the hearing even in non-pandemic times? Can't remember hearing about any other justice's law school. Assuming this is abnormal for even normal times, that makes this even worse if we're just parading this.
