How has it not been decided whether Carr is reclassifying or not? he should 100% do it. It’s only a semester early in reality and he can easily see a road to PT.
he might have already decided but doesn't want it to go public until after his HS season is over...I can imagine a decision like that could greatly impact his teammates which I totally understand
Even if he does reclassify, he’ll be two+ seasons away from being ready to start. Also don’t want to put all our eggs in any one basket, like we always seem to do. We need at least one - potentially two - shorter term answers.
Oh for sure! I wish we could keep him in 2024 to have him recruit, but it’d be wonderful to have him in early and also get at least 1 portal QB
i'm perfectly fine w/ him coming in 2023 so we don't have to worry about any more shenanigans between now and Dec 2023 when he could actually sign...I've seen enough stuff about NIL or just kids changing their mind that the sooner they sign, the better in addition, he's built up relationships w/ almost all the 2024 kids already and he can keep building those relationships once he's on campus...remember how he had to drive 3 hrs to have dinner w/ Ryan Wingo in the summer? If he's already on campus, he can spend the whole day w/ Wingo and have dinner w/ him and tell him that he'll be the one throwing passes to him once Wingo gets on campus and he becomes the starter in 2024 I get he won't be ready to play in 2023, but he gets a full year to learn the playbook, build strength in a CFB program, still recruit, and hopefully be fully locked into ND
they are well coached and seem strong as shit cuz they are 28 the qb is a problem but yea ND should just roll this team, they don’t have the speed to match up yet alone the DL
Now that I’m a bit tipsy on my flight I’m wondering if I should go to Vegas next week for the game. I don’t care that much about Vegas but I want to see the new stadium I also don’t know when I’m going to ND this year. I don’t know how long it’s been since I haven’t made at least 1 home game a year. After Marshall I planned on none but these fucks (happily) dragged me back in
I’ve been averaging a vacation every 3 weeks since this year started, which is amazing, but also tiring. I’ll tell myself “after I get back, I'm going to do ‘x’ at work,” but then I just come home and start focusing entirely on when I’m leaving next. Legit flown to the west coast 4 times since end of July for Odesza in Seattle, Burning Man, San Francisco, and now going to The Gorge this weekend. If I’m going to do anything in the next few weeks, it has to finally be football related! I’d love to grab a beer. Looking at flights now to see if it’s reasonable
Tiring? Fuck off man, just fuck off ;) happy for you and enjoy, if you are good at your job these things should be happening .
Haha that’s true. I’m super thankful but it’s absolutely a 1st world problem. It’s more so the travel that I put on myself and getting home thinking “fuck, I have to work tomorrow.” Starting October 1st the company I work for created a new position for me so I can actually just do whatever I want in that regard without the need to clock in or have morning meetings, but I’m so conditioned to coming home from these things and clocking in at 6:30AM the next day to handle the work load for how I like to operate. also, thank you Druce for getting me the job 9 years ago ;)
Watching byu...if the OL and DL continue to play as they have the past 6 quarters, I feel pretty good about it. Also, byu reminds me of stanford....tall ass white WRs
Feeling kind of the same, except a little more spaced out Since May, I’ve done Cabo x2, Traverse City, Catalina Island, Newport Beach, SF, San Diego, Vegas, and Tulum coming up in 3 weeks My wallet and traveling spirit is broke, but if you end up doing Vegas let me know. I may make the short drive up from PHX
I did not expect Traverse City! Beautiful area for sure. I very well might do it even though I told myself I wasn’t going to travel after this one until December when going to Quebec and the Montreal.
In other news, coach d legit thinks a divine miracle cured his dog of cancer I guess jumping the line of kids with cancer
I am very confused about his religious proclivities. This screams weird evangelical, but he’s obsessed with the preeminent Catholic university in America’s football team.
I’m not sure why, but something about this guy makes me think he’s the future subject of a Dateline episode.
Lots of questions here: LBs at Washingtons but not all of them? Curious pumpkins? Are those Freeman’s kids at Washingtons while dad is out cruiting?
