i would not go that far, the doctors probably saw it back at 100% and gave him a go. This could have happened in 3 months also. He broke it once, he probably has a weakness in his bone structure. There is only so much you can really do

I can personally attest that fracturing your 5th metatarsal sucks. I have broken mine in my right foot 3 times. One of the worst bones to break in your body because you usually break it more than once. Bringing him back in 8-9 weeks or whatever it was is too fast. I was in a hard cast for 12 weeks the 3rd time and just did it right. Haven’t had an issue since
my blood pressure is a little high so I am supposed to take it a few times a day and report back to my doc, I think I will skip today.
