I can’t tell if you’re a Clemson fan or not. If you’re an ND fan, then the above recommendation is spot on. If you’re rooting for Clemson, sorry to say parking lot is full, you’re out of luck. Stay home.
Clemson folks but we will do our best to not be complete SC rednecks. Got a good group coming and looking forward to the trip. This may be a stupid question. Are these lots reserved or cash on game day? Would like to find a reserved spot that we can buy and have on hand so we aren’t riding around all afternoon… Appreciate the advice from folks and if anyone has a parking pass they want to sell to some fine Clemson folks, let me know.
I will welcome any and all Clemson fans. The best away fan experience I’ve ever had was down in Clemson. Such pleasant and hospitable people. nativeson get a Joyce or Innovation lot pass. Both will accept the sprinter van and are close enough to both everything you want to see on campus and the bars off campus. There are also tailgating services you can purchase where someone will set up your tents, chairs, grill, etc. It’s fairly expensive, but spread across 10 people it’s really not bad.
To be clear, I was kidding. Everything I I heard from people who went down to Clemson was that the fans were amazing and we pride ourselves on being incredibly welcoming(to a fault, sometimes). What others are saying is correct. You can buy a Joyce, stadium (these are the same parking lots, although stadium gets you slightly closer to the stadium, hence the name) or innovation park passes now on stubhub. It’ll be expensive, but split amongst the 10 of you it won’t be bad at all. Get there early (note that we’re on eastern time so you’ll lose an hour coming from Chicago). walk around campus, enjoy the tailgate, and then watch your team lose
Clemson fans in Dallas and Charlotte were incredibly nice. They also knew they were going to kick our asses so it was easy for them.
10-4. Really looking forward to the trip. Was planning on it in 20. Our crowd just doesn’t want to be stuck on the Irish express so we got the van and I’m working on the pass. Will lock one down on stub hub soon. Appreciate all the advice.
Loys Dante update Spoiler Detroit (Mich.) King five-star quarterback Dante Moore is one of the most coveted uncommitted prospects in the entire country. The class of 2023 signal-caller, who checks in at 6-2, 195-pounder, hasn’t narrowed down his list of 40 scholarship offers and likely won’t until eventually announcing his commitment. He’s extremely grateful for each and every one of those offers and from what I’ve gathered, will just pick a single school from that list when the time comes for his commitment. I checked in with a variety of sources from across the landscape of college football to find out what they are hearing on Moore’s recruitment and where he could land. Here are a few notes I gathered this week. — Notre Dame is still the perceived leader. Once again, every single source I spoke with believes the Fighting Irish have set the bar Moore and continue to be the most likely landing spot if he were to commit today. There wasn’t a single source I spoke with that felt another program had the lead. After that, it gets a little dicey. The majority of sources I spoke with have Oregon and Miami in the Top 3 and believe Michigan would be in the No. 4 or 5 spot alongside LSU. Obviously additional visits like one to Texas A&M could shake things up, but again, most believe he’ll land closer to home when all is said and done, which seems to set Notre Dame up for success here. Again though, anything is possible and can change quickly in recruiting. 3COMMENTS — Commitment timetable remains up in the air. Some sources believe he will shut it down before the start of his senior season, while others believe he will wait it out. I still think he will commit before his senior year, but I can’t say I know for sure. However, the reason for waiting, at least according to my sources, kind of makes sense when you look at what Moore wants in a school. My sources don’t believe it really has anything to do with NIL or finding some great deal. It’s about the on-field product. From what I’ve gathered, Moore has kicked around the idea of waiting until midway or late into the fall because he wants to see how the teams look on the field, how the offense is producing, what the product looks like, wins and losses, are they competing for a national championship, etc. Moore is extremely competitive and wants to win championships. That is why he plays the game, so him waiting and watching how things unfold on the field is definitely something he’s kicking around from what I gather. — Why not commit and build the class? I asked a few sources for their thoughts on this and they all came back feeling the same way: Moore is trying to find the best fit for himself right now and will allow the coaches to do the recruiting for the time being. From what I’ve gathered, in addition to what Moore has said to me in the past, he knows that wherever he goes to school, there will be talent around him. He’s not going to pick a program where he’s the only talented player on offense. That wouldn’t set him up for success. So, the school he chooses will have playmakers all over the place. There is a reason he’s looking at Notre Dame, LSU, Michigan, Miami, etc. There is a lot of talent at each one of those schools. He’s paying attention to the recruiting. He knows who is heading to each of his top suitors. He’s just really trying to be diligent in his process, which he’s completely entitled to. As I’ve said from the start, from what I know about Moore, when he announces a commitment, he’ll be shutting down his process and he’ll do plenty of recruiting at that time.
Random question because someone just asked me to go see his comedy but does Chef Goldblum still lurk here
I went looking for a PM from him the other day and couldn't find it so I thought his account was gone, but now you've tagged it so who knows.
Apparently Sedrick Irvin’s camp went to the press with some anti-Freeman and ND thoughts and the story should be coming out this week. That’ll be fun.
Knew this was going to happen. They dropped a commit. I get they didn’t recruit him but there should be blowback when you do that.
It’s the unfortunate side of today’s college football. I remember acting high and mighty about not processing players on Rivals over a decade ago. Now everybody does it.
If the staff just comes out and says that’s college football, I’ll accept it, but doing this and also saying committed players making making visits is wrong or are no longer considered committed is a horrible look.
I have no problem dropping guys in May l. The visit thing is just officials which is a fine line to draw
With players getting paid and being able to transfer without restriction comes my indifference towards them being treated like fungible commodities.
I have zero issues with it. It's May, he's likely been told they are going to recruit other RBs. He's got plenty of time
I don’t doubt that his dad doesn’t like nd very much. Shitty that they lead him on for a bit but it is what it is
for sure. Do think there is a spectrum where bouncing a kid early is shitty, but less shitty than doing so late on in the process, obviously if an injury is involved things change even more
i've been out on vacation for the past week so this is from last Tuesday but good stuff here from D3 Spoiler We’ve been doing a lot of digging the last few days on where things stand for Notre Dame heading into the June visits. We’ve been hesistant to post all of it because honestly, there’s A LOT of positivity. Perhaps it’s our BK PTSD, but it seems too good to be true, but we’ve done a lot of digging and gotten most of this from multiple sources on both sides of these recruitments. We’re going position-by-position. Buckle up! *** Running back Jayden Limar is set to make his commitment known on Thursday night (May 26) at 7:00 PM ET. He’s down to Notre Dame, Oregon, Michigan and Arizona. Notre Dame has been in pole position for some time, and we’ll see what the ultimate decision is on Thursday night. We’ll carry his commitment live and I’ll give some back story on his decision at the time. There is no doubt that Oregon, Michigan and Arizona would love to be in Notre Dame’s shoes heading into his decision. *** With Sedrick Irvin Jr. out of the class the running back room has been shaken up a bit, and no player could be impacted more than Jeremiyah Love. He was being recruited as more of an athlete when Irvin was in the class and with where Notre Dame stood with Limar. Now that Irvin is out of the class Notre Dame is back to focusing on running back, and that has been big for Love. The dynamic St. Louis athlete was recently at Georgia and Michigan is getting a visit from him June 10th. The next weekend he’ll be in South Bend for his official to Notre Dame. Right now Love doesn’t have a decision timeline set, but talking to sources things are definitely moving in Notre Dame’s direction in a big way. *** Notre Dame has a puncher’s chance with Richard Young ahead of his visit, but no one that I’ve talked to is living in fantasy land either. The Irish coaches know they are at the bottom of his list of favorites, but they worked hard to get him on campus because they knew that gave them a puncher’s chance. But Notre Dame would need to really, really knock this one out of the park to have any shot at all to beat Georgia or Alabama, and even then it will be tough. I don’t see this one ending well for Notre Dame, but I love that they are at least fighting for him. *** Notre Dame is waaaaaay out in front for Texas wide receiver Jaden Greathouse, who has four official visits set up. I believe Greathouse will be in Texas for an official this weekend and then he’ll head to Oklahoma (June 3-5) and South Carolina (June 10-12) before finishing up his visits in South Bend the weekend of June 17-19. Notre Dame crushed his visit for the Blue-Gold Game and the Irish immediately became his leader, and the gap has actually widened since then. The visits will be key but Notre Dame is in a very, very good position here. *** After that receiver recruiting gets a bit interesting. Notre Dame is right in the mix for Rico Flores, who is committing to either Notre Dame, Ohio State or Georgia on July 3rd. Right now Notre Dame is the only of his finalists that I know for a fact would take Flores if he committed today. He has a visit set to Ohio State set for June 24-26 and Georgia June 17-19. I think Notre Dame can beat Georgia, but Ohio State could be interesting. Right now Ohio State wants Carnell Tate, Brandon Inniss and Noah Rogers, and that’s who they are shooting for. Rogers and Inniss will both be on campus for officials the weekend before Flores heads to Columbus. From what I’ve been able to gather how they read those visits could go a long way towards them making one final push for Flores. If they do then I’m concerned about the Buckeye, if they don’t I like where Notre Dame stands. *** Notre Dame and Ronan Hanafin seem to both like each other very much, but Hanafin has been adamant about going through the process and getting out to see places before making a decision. He was never in any rush to make a decision, but things are starting to wind down a bit. He’ll visit Clemson from June 3-5 and then come to Notre Dame the 10-12. After that programs like Alabama, Oklahoma, Boston College and Nebraska are battling to get him on campus. The BC staff has done a great job giving Hanafin a lot to think about in regards to staying closer to home. Clemson has really built a strong connection with Hanafin and Alabama has pushed hard for him as well, although the Tide like him more on defense. Notre Dame sees him more as an offensive player at this point and both Tommy Rees and Chad Bowden have worked hard to keep the Irish in a good place. Marcus Freeman also loves Hanafin and has been consistent that he is a must-get in the class, according to my sources. Once his visits conclude I expect Hanafin to enter the decision making process. The visits will have an impact on where he ends up, but I do believe Notre Dame wants Hanafin in a big way, and at the end of the day the Irish could still be tough to beat. *** After that there are players like Malik Elzy and Josh Manning to consider. Ryan has an update on Manning tonight and while the staff likes Elzy, there are just other players on the board that are better. If Notre Dame is somehow able to add Greathouse, Hanafin and Flores to a class that already includes Braylon James I’m not sure they will force the issue to get to five just to take five. *** Similarly, Notre Dame is comfortable taking five OL in the class but they aren’t going to force the issue to take a 5th OL. Right now there are three players that Notre Dame has a legitimate shot at that are definite takes, and that is Monroe Freeling, Charles Jagusah and Elijah Paige. With Joe Otting the staff likes his film a lot and Hiestand really likes him, but they want to get him on campus for the Lineman Camp the first weekend of June to see him work out in person. If all the boxes are checked they could push for Otting, but right now it’s more of a wait and see based on the camp performance. His film, however, is really, really impressive. It’s more about the frame right now. *** Speaking of OL, Notre Dame continues to be in good position with Illinois offensive lineman Charles Jagusah. Michigan has done a great job with Jagusah and we know he’s a big fan of Sam Pittman (Arkansas), but the Irish are still way out in front on this one. The key is the mom, as Shaun has reported for weeks. As long as she checks all the boxes and likes Notre Dame as much as Charles and his high school coach like Notre Dame I see the Irish winning on this one. The visits will matter, but it would take a lot for Notre Dame to be overtaken by anyone else. *** The other must-get OL target in 2023 is Monroe Freeling. Our view hasn’t changed much on this and we don’t have much new intel. Our staff and our connections down in the Southeast still feel good about where Notre Dame stands, but this is far from a sure thing. Not only is Clemson a factor, but Alabama and Georgia are also making a hard push for Freeling, who visits Notre Dame the weekend of June 10-12. *** Maryland defensive lineman Jason Moore is set to make four official visits. He’ll be at Penn State from June 3-5, Notre Dame from June 10-12, Michigan from June 17-19 and Ohio State from June 24-26. Michigan is making a charge and Ohio State is a legitimate threat, but our sources are still confident that Notre Dame is in the lead. They will have to close during the visit, and there is some nervousness that Michigan and Ohio State are after the ND visit, but the Irish are still the team to beat right now. Many of Notre Dame’s commits are working hard on Moore. *** Another player that Notre Dame will host the weekend of June 10-12 is Louisiana linebacker Jaiden Ausberry. LSU is pushing hard for him, obviously, and he’ll visit Auburn on June 3-5. His older brother Austin signed with Auburn in the 2022 class. He’ll finish up his visits with Michigan on June 24-26. Talking to various sources there is growing confidence that Notre Dame could actually be the team to beat here. Ausberry had a great visit in March and there was concern that the good vibes would eventually wear off, but Freeman and Al Golden and Bowden have continued to grow those vibes and the Irish are in a strong, strong spot. *** I don’t believe this is official yet, but don’t be surprised if Notre Dame looks to move Samuel M’Pemba’s visit to the fall. The reason is M’Pemba is going to make a decision in December, and Notre Dame wants to be able to get him on campus for the Clemson game so it can get a big swing in momentum for him then instead of using his official this summer and hoping they can get him back on campus in the fall for an unofficial. This would guarantee they get a fall visit since they already got a spring visit from M’Pemba. This isn’t a bad thing for Notre Dame and something I believe the staff thinks gives them a much better shot to close on him. *** For months the Irish Breakdown staff has been less than optimistic about Notre Dame’s chances to land St. Louis cornerback Christian Gray. LSU has been the team to beat for awhile due to the relationship with their corners coach Robert Steeples, who is also his former high school coach. Shaun reported a few weeks back that Notre Dame was closing the gap with Gray, and talking to multiple sources it sounds like Notre Dame has made a huge, huge comeback. He’s taking four officials this June, but Notre Dame is in a much stronger position to land him now than they have been at any point. So much so that I would now consider Notre Dame the team others are chasing. *** His visit will tell the tale, but right now we have yet to come across a source that doesn’t think Notre Dame is the team to beat for Micah Bell, the dynamic speedster from Texas. His June 17-19 visit is going to be very, very important. *** Sources vary on the confidence level with Notre Dame and Caleb Downs, but at least one says it’s 50/50 for the Irish. That’s the most optimistic view at this point, and right now Alabama and Georgia are considered the teams to beat. *** A 2023 defensive back name to keep an eye on is Khalil Tate from Kenwood High School in Illinois. Notre Dame has been out to see him this May and are taking a hard look at him. He’s a 6-1, 185-pound cornerback/safety target. *** Finally, on QB Dante Moore. I know everyone is living and dying with every update from other sites about where he’s visiting. Even today while checking in with multiple sources I’ve yet to find anyone that has given me intel that changes my view on where he’s ultimately going to land. There is some concern that Texas A&M could make him an offer he can’t refuse (although there’s doubt he would even take that, but you never know), but other than that everyone I talk to remains confident in where Notre Dame stands.
