Yeah forgot he was still out there. And I want to believe.
no more expectations for me.
And he is a major shithead
Pretty cool break down of where the signees comes from and also video profile on each kid.
No double post yet. Good idea beeds
So mcculloch to Texas. No surprise.
BK presser at 1 pm.
Caleb Kelly at 8:30?
Possible RB flip.
DRob SAT scores come in 2/11 announcing days after that.
I personally am more excited about after signing day. Things usually get pretty crazy with assistant coaching changes and transfers. I wonder if we are looking at any transfers.
Pretty boring day and that's nice
We needed those 7 DBs this fall
Found it nice no decommitments this cycle and none of our commitments took a visit elsewhere
Elston really shut it down
Sounds like an anti-climactic Signing Day. Which, for those that lived through the Weis understand is actually a good thing.
Couldnt get into State? Yeesh.
That said I'd be pumped if Wilson pulled some strings and got him into IU.
anyone have a year for the last time we didn't have any decommits? i know i saw some of the beat writers talking about that but i don't know if they ever provided an answer. pretty crazy how this class stuck (especially considering 7 of them flipped to ND)
This rb flip thing is interesting, simply because I want something to think about now that we're done. Is there even anyone that is a possibility?
Glad to no longer have to feel bad about neglecting the thread title changing tbh
Notre Dame signed seven defensive backs today. Todd Lyght: "I'd be surprised if we red-shirted more than two."
Also asked Lyght who Vaughn reminds him of: Richard Sherman
Thank you for your service to the ND thread title over the years.
Why the new thread?
Giant old threads are killing tmb, so we're being green.
Was there a reason we weren't more involved with Gary? Just no interest?
we tried to get him to visit, but honestly the only reason he is at michigan is because michigan bought the whole state of new jersey (coach, friends, etc.) it's the same reason ohio state wasn't involved.
His HS coach is at Michigan. Can't imagine ND didn't recruit the best player in the country.
Meant on his end. We obviously would have had interest.
Gotcha, really haven't followed at all, didn't even know his finalists until today.
we need to lock up haskell garrett
Get busy Nico.
Anybody else catch Joe Schmidt go full racist when asking Lyght who would play him in a movie?
Schmidt: "It has to be"
i think we could be looking at a top 5 class next year, but i'm not sure how we are on scholarships
i get that recruiting sucks, but what is this guy good for?
Tyler James @TJamesNDI
The look I gave my alarm clock when it blared at 5 a.m. is the look I received when I asked Brian VanGorder what he enjoys about recruiting.
if we don't get Caleb Kelly, then letting Hansford go might've been stupid.
he couldn't pass admissions
Didn't see that but Sanfords go to dance move is crip walking.
I would also encourage watching BVG break it down in his Hot Topic feature.
Hayes stay away from Morgan.
Oh God no, Ty is back
Lou Holtz is a mother fucking professional. He walked into a room full of 3,500 rabid Michigan football fans, got booed and 1.5 hours later completely won them over.
Tip of the hat to him.
I suggest visiting ndnation.com later this evening for a less effusive opinion.
Is he a traitor now?
Yup. He may be as hated as Kelly now by the subset of 55-65 year old retards that frequent that shit hole.
So is everyone happy?
Lou's story on Sirius radio the other day he explains why he went to Michigan. Touching story. Summary is something like:
12 year old nephew of one of lous groomsman sent Lou a bunch of Michigan gear after his house burnt down (probably a Dick move). Lou repaid the favor by calling Harbaugh and he met the family for lunch. Then went to this event as a thanks to Harbaugh.
ND has a very strong class. But they need players like D. Rob and Caleb Kelly to put them over the edge.
ND signed 0 5* and 10 4* which is really good.
Clemson was 1 and 12.
UGA 3 and 10
Ole Miss 3 and 14
Mich 1 an 14
Ohio State 1 and 17
LSU 2 and 16
FSU 1 and 17
Alabama 3 and 14.
Again building a ton of talent and I think they did a really good job. But just 2-3 guys short of being great.
Is there any optimism at all for Kelly or Robertson?
reasonably happy. will be very happy if we land robertson, beyond giddy if we also add kelly (which i dont expect)
some optimism about robertson with me, none whatsoever with regards to kelly
according to Rivals, Bama is bringing in 5 5-stars and 10 4-stars, jesus christ
So we are officially going to try and redshirt Wimbush this year. At least that's the plan right now heading into spring
i hope he is on board
I think you humor him in spring and tell him he is part of the competition to start, his skillset warrants it. If you give him a shot with the legit playbook and with the 1's there is a chance that he either shocks the world and wins the job, or more likely sees that he needs further development to compete at the level of the other two.
thats what id say to him. were giving you a legit shot but we want you to start for us as long as possible so if youre not winning the job we want to save your eligibility
Plus, I dont know if the coaches would say it but he knows, there is little threat from Book coming in behind him so if he stays patient his time will come.
